SO im guessing you believe in the big band theory? I hope you know that science has proved that the big bang theory had about a 1 in .0000000000000000000000000000000000000001 X a google Chance in working out the exact way it did to make the universe. God made everything. Im sorry for anyone who actualy believes in the BBT i really am.

Wouldn't a "1 in a .000...00001" chance actually be really good chance. Even better than a certainty.

Hello, idiot. Mathematically those are good odds ( times a google baffles me...)but since you're kind enough to be stupid, I'll bite: what's your 'scientific proof'?

From what science?

"science has proved "

A preacher pulling shit out of his ass does not constitute science proving anything.

Even if he were right, so what? If the universe didn't turn out the way it did, it would have turned out some other way and we would have no idea.

Personally I'm more into early doowop R&R and light classical, but that doesn't mean I don't believe the Big Band Era ever existed. Thanks to the recording industry (science) there is plenty of evidence, nay proof, and the BB adherents may still enjoy it. So; NO, it isn't "just a theory".
Now - ya got a tape of god doing ANYTHING? Oh, it's on Beta? Tough luck

But the thing is, FX, even if it's a 1 in 1,000...000 (Which is what you were shooting for, yes?) chance, there still is a chance. It still is possible. No matter how remote, there was a chance, and here we are.

3/6/2008 6:24:19 PM

this "what are the chances, so it must have been god" argument is so annoying. the only way to look back and calculate the chance is for those events to occur, things could have happened differently, producing unintelligent idea, which wouldn't bother wondering abou the remote chances

If you toss a coin a thousand times, the odds of the exact sequence of heads and tails is .5 ^ 1000 - extremely small odds, yet you just saw that sequence happen

Actually, the probability is exactly one.

See, if I take three normal six sided dice, what are the probabilities that the first die will give a 3, the second a 1 and the third a five? Exactly one, 'cause that's what I rolled.

And if I take a thousand dice? Any single combination is improbable, yet I will inevitably roll one of them.

Well there's a 1 in 40 million (give or take a few million) chance that you would be conceived: if any other sperm cell had fertilized that egg, YOU wouldn't be here today. So, even though the odds were pretty much stacked against YOUR conception, those long odds didn't prevent it from happening, did it? More's the pity...

big band theory? what, the one where benny goodman created everything?

Huh... well, the math wizard needs to bonk this guy on the head with his wand. I count 40 digits after the decimal. A googol has 100 zeroes meaning that this guy gave evolution a 10 to the 60th power % chance of occurring. Now I might be slightly off, but that's slightly higher than 100%, isn't it?

And I thought this guy was a fundie...

Somehow I seriously doubt this. Aside from that, no matter how unlikely the odds of something happening, as long as the probability isn't 0 the event can happen.

"God made everything. Im sorry for anyone who actualy believes in the BBT i really am."

And I'm sorry for anyone who believes complete bullshit rather than scientifically supported explanations.

I don't care how many fucking zeros you put on the equation, if there is still a chance of it happening somewhere in this infinite universe then I will still hold my beliefs.
