Whoa, someone feels a little bit bitter here?
2/28/2008 7:41:23 PM
I am glad that I am not being fed to someone. You, on the other hand...
2/28/2008 7:55:32 PM
You probably think you are owed a living and a house, just for being a result of a formation of a man out of dirt 6,010 years ago, despite all this- all that you are, according to your fundy-brainwashed philosophy, a sinner deserving eternal damnation, a vessel of wrath fit for destruction, who's [sic] existance [sic] is under threat from this alleged Divine process as you can't even secure yourself a shelter from the elements.

The housing bubble is going to burst because housing prices are over inflated and the US is dragging the world into a recession.
Unfortunately/fortunately China's not big enough yet to pull us out.
2/28/2008 7:57:29 PM
I've never seen a giga-non sequitur before.
2/28/2008 8:06:12 PM
Doubleyoo tee eff?
2/28/2008 8:23:06 PM
Brit evo-socialism fails to deliver? NO! Say it ain't so, Gordy!
Sorry to seem snide, but from my perspective, it looks like some people on the "Home Isles" truly expect the State to provide parents for their children.
How many bureaucrats per capita?
2/28/2008 8:25:40 PM
Over here evolution has got the entire stock market as jumpy as a hooker in church.
2/28/2008 8:33:49 PM
"you should be glad that you ain't being fed to someone, because after all you're just a bunch of cells, a collection fo flesh and bones, in an universe that came from nothing for no reason or purpose, with no moral obligation ultimately to anyone but yourself."
A Modest Proposal.
Of course, since evolution and suchforth state that morals are entirely under our control and guilt and suchforth are only evolutionary aids to continue the species, we could cannibalize the less fortunate, seeing as they aren't evolutionarily successful and all that energy would just otherwise go to waste.
I think I'm being a poe....

It's funny how Christian fundies try to tie in economic conservativism with social conservativism when if you look in the Bible there are many passages that seem to support socialism.
2/28/2008 8:49:04 PM
That's definitely a non-sequitur all right, and you know what I think of non-sequiturs? Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina.
2/28/2008 8:53:12 PM
"Why is the housing market in the pits?"
"Because you touch yourself at night."
Makes sense, right?
2/28/2008 8:54:48 PM
So many fundies, not enough Coliseums.
2/28/2008 9:09:14 PM
I would say that some not so scrupulous cells and chemicals speculated over the market and made the prices rise. Hey, that's how life works, not like it should.
2/28/2008 10:22:15 PM
>"You probably think you are owed a living and a house"
And the rest of the argument (if you can call it that) is based on this statement that is only a hairbrained inference on his part. Lovely.
2/28/2008 10:23:07 PM
*boggle* So Darwin is why houses are so expensive?
2/28/2008 10:29:42 PM
People like this are polluting the gene pool.

It seems from debating here for a while that this site is full of folks who are ill-educated about this world and the realities of life.
So says the nice lady that thinks a bored deity poofed us into existence from a pile of dirt and a rib.
There is also much self-loathing and a depressing outlook on life.
Since you started that thread, I can't determine what you mean, so no comment.
So why am I not surprised you are complaining about house prices and haven't got a house?
Because a house is an investment. If you see a downward trend in house prices, you'll likely be disinclined to buy.
You probably think you are owed a living and a house, just for being a result of a random mindless evoultionary process over billions of years, despite all this- all that you are, according to your secular-brainwashed philosophy, a bunch of cells, a collection of chemicals, who's existance is under threat from this alleged evolutionary process as you can't even secure yourself a shelter from the elements.
Fine. Give up your job. Give up your house. God will provide. Won't he?
So why do you think you are owed any rights, including being owed a house by the rest of society?
Personally, I believe shelter SHOULD be a right, although, the moment it's just given, people are less inclined to care for it.
you should be glad that you ain't being fed to someone, because after all you're just a bunch of cells, a collection fo flesh and bones, in an universe that came from nothing for no reason or purpose, with no moral obligation ultimately to anyone but yourself.
You're right. I am just just a cluster of cells, no divine purpose, with no obligation to anyone but myself. I wasn't obligated to put up my deadbeat brother for months on end...but I did. I'm not obligated to donate to Cancer research...but I do. I'm not obligated to offer empathy and sympathy whenever I see another person in pain...but I will. That's the thing. Morality is not innately good when it's an obligation...when it's forced. Only when you are good when it's not expected is it true good.

Stupid-hippies-get-a-job went out of style 30 years ago.
"You probably think"
Hey, why hedge, if you are so confident you are the chosen child of God. A very bitter, hate-filled child at that. Is that what you fundies mean when you say "no such thing as an innocent baby"?

Because the earth has rocks on it, then obviously fish taste like purple.
2/29/2008 1:33:17 AM
Stupid. Just stupid.
2/29/2008 1:34:00 AM
Somebody should turn up on a creationist forum and start ranting about how analysis of current housing price trends proves that evolution is valid.
Did anybody else die a little inside when they visited the source site? Of all the things to spend your time debating...
2/29/2008 1:39:28 AM
Clearly, the real reason these people don't have a house is that God doesn't want them to have one.
