The Chinese, who never heard of "Judeo-Christian principles" until the middle ages, had those things thousands of years ago.

"Prior to these Judeo-Christian principles, people were eating each other, there was no "civilization" as we know it."
"Good God! This tribe appears to practice cannibalism! Stop it! Stop it, you heathens! I am a missionary, here to convert you to the ways of Christianity. First, we'll have no more cannibalism. It's barbaric. First of all, this is the eucharist, one of the most important sacrements in Christianity. You must eat this, as Jesus said "this is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me" Then we drink the wine- will you all stop sniggering please?"

Yeah our country is based on those ethics, that's what its always been illegal to worship any god but yours in America, and why the US has always had only one religion. Ever.

"Judeo-Christian principles introduced the world to caring for others, care of the less fortunate, freedom, not stealing, killing, et al."

What has happened to us, I am embarrassed, over 2000 years ago people had the ability to state the following;
.. as a philosopher, I have a right to ask for a rational explanation of religious faith. (Cicero)
.. it is improbable that the material substance which is the origin of all things was created by divine Providence. It has and has always had a force and nature of its own. (Cicero)
.....We should not say - I am an Athenian or I am a Roman but I am a Citizen of the Universe. (Marcus Aurelius)
....Life itself is neither a good nor an evil: life is where good or evil find a place, depending on how you make it for them.(Seneca)
....Other men's sins are before our eyes; our own are behind our backs. (Seneca)
need I say more.

This country WAS built upon Judeo-Christian principles, as I have learned. You see, the puritans didn't want freedom OF religion, they wanted freedom of THEIR religion.
And "Judeo-Christian values" basically means: believing in the big book o' lies, so to speak.

Buddha reached enlightenment long before Christianity even existed.
Emperor Jimmu established the Chrysanthemum Throne about 660 years before the birth of Christ.
Chinese dynasties rose and fell, all without your precious Judeo-Christian "principles".

what???
Um, I would like to point you to a man named Siddhartha Gautama, you might know him as the Buddha. He lived a good 500 years before the so-called birth of jesus, and around the same time that the Jewish religion was being formed, and his ethical system is much more 'moral' than the judea-xtian one. And it was the ancient Greeks who 'civilized' the human race, again, around the same time as the Buddha. And cannibalism was not that widespread. So, learn some history, because if that's all you're basing your convictions of your religion on, you're in for a shock.

"Judeo-Christian principles introduced the world to caring for others,"
Unless you happen to be gay, remarried after being divorced, an unruly child, of a different faith...You know, there's a whole lot of hate in "the good book."
