[Thread title: We are not to judge others???????? Tolerance...the NEW veiled sin]

It is all a matter of who squeaks the loudest. The squeaky wheel gets the grease first. I agree, sin is sin is sin. I also know some who are homosexual, but, we havent talked about it. Just the other day, one of my friends' daughter introduced me to her girl friend. She says " this is my girlfriend (her name here)" Later on I talked to the step-dad and asked him about it, and he confirmed it. This girl has babysat my little girls before!!!!!!! I about wanted to gag [vomiting emoticon], but thought better of it and it was time to go anyway. I am pretty sure she knows my stance on these things, I cannot even imagine going up to someone I knew and introduce someone of the same sex as my partner. [vomiting emoticon]

We need more people to stand up and preach the Word of God without washing it down or throwing in a little world into it. uggghhhh

Well, it could be worse. Her not interacting with this person in future is surely superior to her trying to force her not to be gay.


I'm sadly reminded of the situation of a friend of mine, though in her case its her mother who's intolerent. "You can be bi as long as you don't date any girls." [eyeroll]

(note, this friend is currently quite happy with her girlfriend)

There is a little problem. One, that Jesus was clear on that topic. Second, that you will face the same problems when you do wrong,and you will. You can't say that you have clear ideas on that one moment and, when taken seriously, they belong to the "private" sphere. Moreover, unless her mom is a widow, why do you select to tantalise the girl and not HER PARENTS, for committing something much more condemned in the Scriptures?

What I don't understand is why you want to be so separate from the big bad "World". You frickin' LIVE in it. Living isolated from worldly evil is impossible, and trying to do so is enough to turn someone into a... well, a stark-raving mad fundie.

Also, it sounds like your friend's daughter trusts you more than she should. I mean, she went out of the way to show you someone she loves, and you have the audacity to go behind her back, talk to her dad, and then complain about it on the internet. Disgraceful.
