Quote# 31421

Mike, you're ashamed of your fellow homosexuals? That's not uncommon. Forget AIDS for a minute, consider typhus, cholera, strep infections, dysentery, 'gay bowel syndrome', assorted venereal diseases...then there's suicide, murder, murder/suicide, assault, rape, theft, lying and petty head games, all the pathetic spiteful things a hysterical self-loathing homosexual will resort to...base behaviour and quite pathetic.

But if you stick to women, you'll never have any of these problems. [/sarcasm]

Won't someone think of the bisexuals?

On that note, what the hell's "Gay Bowel Syndrome"?

Why do these people come here? They know what the inevitable result is.

What the hell is 'gay bowel syndrome'? Are they implying that irritable bowel syndrome is passed from person to person by The Gay, or something? Weird. :P

Typhus and cholera. Gee, I wasn't aware that gay people created gigantic plagues throughout history. Apparently you can be as filthy as you like, but if you're not having gay sex, you're not gonna spread disease.

Epidemics of typhus, dysentery and cholera among gays? Why is this being hushed up?

You mean heteros never contract diseases, never commit crimes, or otherwise engage in pathetic behavior?

You mean the ten commandments and all the derived rules from your bible are only for homosexuals?

That's bizzare, don't you think?

Once again from the top..

[bThere is no such thing as GAY BOWEL SYNDROME! [/b] Some idiot like Camaron made it up because he wanted to claim that gay people were all diseased.

As for the rest, they either STDs that straight people get too or unrelated to sex at all.

And let's not forget the projection...

"base behaviour and quite pathetic."

"Gay Bowel Syndrome"?

Look it up

You might want to google a term before making an ignorant statement. "Gay bowel syndrome" is well known by medical professionals.

I guess you could plead that it doesn't exist because you never heard of it, like glycophosphate.

Okay, I looked it up and found this abstract on PubMed:

In 1976, a group of physicians in private proctologic practice in New York City coined the illness "Gay Bowel Syndrome" in reference to a constellation of gay male anorectal disorders. Through analysis of biomedical discourse and popular media, it is apparent that Gay Bowel Syndrome is an essentialized category of difference that is neither gay-specific, confined to the bowel, nor a syndrome. The use and diagnosis of Gay Bowel Syndrome must be abandoned before it further lends itself to the formation of social policies and governing practices that seek to force gay male bodies into positions of social, cultural, and political subordination.

Um, I'm pretty sure most of those things can happen to anybody, not just homosexuals. Although I'm not sure about 'gay bowel syndrome' since I've never heard of it.

typhus, cholera, strep infections, dysentery

All of these are common bacterial infections. Strep is pretty much everywhere, if you inhale you get a bit of strep. It's living in your throat right now waiting for you to get weakened by a cold or something.

All the others are caused by common bacteria. They are transmitted primarily by feces contaminated food and water. I suppose you could get it from licking someone's anus, but as they would have severe diarrhea (most common cause of cholera deaths) and a high fever it seems unlikely. Infections are rare in wealthy nations even though the bacteria are not because we treat our water.
