It's the kind of mentality I expect from fundies. When you paint them in a corner with reason, in this case the potential genetic link to homosexuality, they come out and say that god is testing you. Don't give in.

It's like being in a relationship from hell with a person who attempts suicide every time you try to leave. If you're as emotionally unstable as the god you've made in your image, I hope you don't do too much damage to everyone around you.
Why does God test me so horribly, and not you? Why does God want me to marry someone I don't love, and produce children in a loveless marriage, but not you? Your god's a bit of a cunt, isn't he? I mean, he 'inflicts' homosexuality on people in order to test them, thereby condemning them to a life of misunderstanding, discrimination and potential persecution; but the worst he inflicts on you fundies is bad breath, a missing chin and an overhanging brow. Actually, come to think of it,I think the gays are getting the better deal. At least they get to have sex.
I might have submitted this, several years ago - I'm not sure. If I did, I'm sorry. It isn't right to mock other people's beliefs like this, whether one agrees with them or not. Serious_Cat, on the unlikely chance that you're reading this, I sincerely apologize for any unpleasantness or discomfort I may have caused by submitting your comment here.
Any FSTDT users reading this: how would you feel if somebody posted a comment you made on some website for people who thought your beliefs were stupid, essentially mocking you behind your back and leaving a public record of it that will last forever? It's something you might want to think about, next time you submit a quote.
And furthermore, it makes me sick to think that I had any role in inviting such hurtful comments about God, and about other people. I am a Christian, and I hope that all of you can come to know the love and forgiveness of God, and I'm deeply sorry to have contributed, in any way, to driving others further from the light, so to speak.
