Quote# 29905

It is the matter of common sense that man has been created, and the created being must have a Creator. The Creator of man is Allaah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and created all things. Man has to acknowledge this reality. It is also the matter of common sense that the Creator of this universe is the One who deserves to be worshipped, obeyed, feared, hoped and loved. This means that the one who does not acknowledge this truth is an atheist and a denier, and is ignorant and corrupt; his intellect is less than human.

it is a matter of common sense that the earth is stationary and flat and that all things revolve around it.

Why is it not common sense that Allaah has been created again?

Oh, I remember, because it is common sense that you would resort to 'special pleading' when it comes to your own pet myth. Otherwise you'd just be another duped fool who thinks his sky-daddy is bigger and better than everyone elses, so nyeh!

Remember kiddies,

"If you have no evidence,
If you have no proof,
Just resort to common sense
And claim what you say is 'truth'!"

It is a matter of common sense that the sun sets in a murky pool and that if you travel far enough, you can see it, just as the Glorious Qur'an says. Subhan Allah!

Just turtles all the way down.

But very creative turtles that deserve to be worshipped, obeyed, feared, hoped and loved ... and fed meal worms on a regular basis and given the occasional bath.

Shaykh's definition of 'common sense' seems to correlate with the definition of 'personal belief.'
And calling non-religious types (specifically non-Muslims and atheists, in this case) 'less than human' is unwarranted.

And, um, is he calling those of us who have deities other than Allah 'atheists'?
Because I'm pretty sure that word doesn't mean 'anyone who is not a member of the speaker's religion.'

Christian fundies tend to point to muslims as the greatdanger to the western world. Wonder if they know how much they agree with the muslims. At least this one.

Sorry, Shaykh Yerbouti, this is where your argument falls apart. I prefer the really real reality, not some 1400-year-old camel shit piled up on top of a load of 3000-year old sheep shit.

As for that last part...I break wind in your general direction.
