Oh, and without generalizations you can't have rational discussion. People fit into categories, and the category atheists best fit into is 'intolerant.'

Wait, what? You claim that it is impossible to have a rational discussion WITHOUT relying on stereotypes? Somebody give this poster a clue-by-four!

You think too small. The clue-by-four (or learnin' stick, as I like to call it thanks to one of the Bash.org quotes I saw on the forum a while back) is for people with clue-meter readings in the 0-2 range. When the clue meter goes negative, you need something a bit stronger. Might I suggest an aluminum Cluebat?
Generalizations have their place, but you have to recognize that any particular individual could be an exception to the rule. For instance, if I ran into a group of 50 or so HS-to-college age math geeks, it'd be a pretty safe bet that most of them like Frisbee - but there will probably be a few that don't. And your generalization has an extremely large number of exceptions (indeed, I've found that intolerant atheists are in the minority among atheists, and probably rarer than intolerant Christians are among Christians).
