If those 40 million babies had lived they could be drug adicts, or criminals or just unemployed college dropouts. They could also have died from meningitis or in a car crash before twenty. And the best, there would still be jobs for illegal immigrants because, after all, they're not filling in "gaps", they need the money, simple as that.

40 millions is a lot of extra babies, which probably translates to a lot of extra poor babies, or unwanted and unhappy babies, but whatever. we're goddamn americans!

Unless you dream of a totalitarian society where all unwanted children would be placed in job otherwise unwanted by the rest of us for various reasons, that wouldn't be possible.

If anything, a bigger population results in a larger demand for products and services, which means we would need more people working to sustain the larger population and thus more illegal immigrants doing the jobs many Americans simply prefer not to do.

That assumes that every one of those 40 million babies would have been in addition to the ones actually born. In reality, many who have abortions go on to have planned children at some later time which they otherwise wouldn't have had if they had already been saddled with an unwanted earlier child.

Typical free republic bullshit. He automatically assumes that those fourty million kids would be lily-white(unlikely) republicans(highly unlikely) willing to work minimum wage jobs(impossible).

You're assuming those estimated 40 million embryos would have been viable and carried full term, not spontaneously aborted in the first or second trimester, like what happens to a sizable portion of pregnancies in real life (roughly a third).
That third would've been terminated by your God, since you believe in that sort of thing.
How's that sit with you?
