Quote# 27731

Ive gotten ridiculed for talking about HIS return so much( in their eyes) I got in trouble with my sister because I dared to mention the word Rapture to her daughter 3 years ago.. she said I "scared" her...My father just feels he's gonna die.. with no hope of a Rapture..I told him im not gonna die and be Raptured( what I believe in faith) and he scoffed at me as if i was a lunatic.. in fact he wont talk about JESUS or anything spiritual.. he just gets very uncomfortable if i mention the name of JESUS... HIS name is soo powerful, ive had other people become very uncomfortable and uneasy in my prescence when i mention HIS name...thats why HIS name is above ALL names!!!

It might be because you're always ranting about the Rapture, so people instinctively recoil when they hear you say 'Jesus'.

Shit. Fuck. Asshole. Do you know how many people get uncomfortable over hearing words like that? By your logic, Fuck is above all else because I know a few fucking people who get fucking "uncomfortable" when hearing that word. Feel the power of FUCK!

People are uneasy in your presence because you are a FREAK! (apologies to other freaks out there; no insult intended).

If people you love get uncomfortable when you mention jebus, maybe it isn't because his name is above all names. It could just be that they find you delusional and a bit scary.

Sweetheart, I'll tell you what it is since yhour family can't. It's not that they get uncomfortable at the mention of Jesus' name. It's that they feel uncomfortable with hurting your feelings with the almost uncontrollable urge to tell you to your face you're a fuckin' loon and to please shut up.

They're probably uncomfortable because every time you say his name you jizz your pants.

It sounds like your family has a much better grip on reality than you do. Maybe instead of preaching to them you should shut up and listen.

I'm willing to bet that the only reason your family are uncomfortable with the word Jesus is because it's probably every other word you say in the 10 minute torrents of smug superiority and lame conversion attempts by fear you call conversation. *sigh*

I swear, fundies set themselves up to be ridiculed intentionally as it helps them with the "filthy rags" image their religion tells them they must maintain in order to achieve persecution and martyrdom.

Spiritspeak is annoying. No one but those who believe really understand it. When you don't believe, you realize how ridiculous it sounds.

I used to be a Spiritspeaker. Now I cringe whenever I hear it.

Hate to tell you this Cherry baby, but they may be Christians and it may not be the name Jesus, but the word "Rapture" that makes them angry. You guys do tend to think that you are the only "True Christians", and many other Christian denominations think that you are nutjobs who have turned an off-the-wall scriptural misintrepretation into a major religious belief.

If we were to replace the name "Jesus" with any other name that wasn't attached to a religious figure, and the word Rapture with "the coming", then we'd assume this person was a completely "batshit" psychopath.

Therefore, I see that the relationship between fundamentalism and psychotic schizophrenia is that the former is the most common form of the latter.

It's not that his name is so powerful, it's that you sound like a crack addict when talking about jesus. Obsessing over mythical figures is weird and you might need to be put in a mental asylum.

Don't despair. I use HIS name a lot. Such as "Jesus Forking H. Christ on a pogo stick with flames shooting out his ass." Feel better now?

They are uncomfortable because they are resisting the urge to say:

"won't you just shut the fuck up for just once about this rapture bullshit?!?"

Yeah. They think you're gonna start knocking on their doors and pestering them with Watchtowers.
