[Check the thread for the 'pie' comment]
Whoa whoa whoa. Christianity is the belief that God created the earth and all of mankind and died for our sins (if you don't get why he had to die just message me) on the cross. HOW can you believe in Christ AND evolution at the same time? I don't get it! And why do all the Christians besides me want pie?

I sort of have to agree with this sentiment. If there was no Adam and Eve to introduce the whole sin nature thing into humanity, exactly how is Jesus supposed to be saving you from sin? All of Christian theology kinda rests on the whole idea of sin and salvation.
And why do all the Christians besides me want pie?
It's fucking pie. Who doesn't like pie? Well, besides you, apparently.
I don't understand why Christ had to die for your sins, nor do I really understand how one can be a "bible-believing Christian" and believe in anything other than the creation stories in Genesis. I don't understand how people CAN believe such twaddle, but if they are insisting that the bible is the word of God...
I am in favor of most types of pie. Apple, pecan, pizza, hair, no mud though.
I don't understand creationists who believe in evolution, but hey, it's a start. As long as they are accepting of both they should see the truth eventually.
BUTCH Pie for breakfast?
FABIAN Any time of the day is a good time for pie.
Let me see, how can you believe in Jesus and evolution?, maybe because believing that a man died for our sins is not contradiction with the fact that we all have a common ancestor with monkeys?, that there are no speaking snakes?, that Adam and Eve are metaphorical names and mythical characters to explain a complex notion? that you are using this computer to spread the Gospel?, that the Pie makes no sense whatsoever and demonstrates that you're not particularly smart?
"HOW can you believe in Christ AND evoluton at the same time?"
Evoluton is science based upon evidence, no belief required. Millions & millions of devout Christians accept evolution and don't see it as a threat to their religious beliefs, you should ask them.
Whoa whoa whoa.
Take a valium, love.
Christianity is the belief that God created the earth and all of mankind and died for our sins
Yes, that's one of it's basic tenents; your point?
(if you don't get why he had to die just message me)
I doubt very much that you're a reliable source.
HOW can you believe in Christ AND evolution at the same time?
Quite easily, actually.
I don't get it!
That's because you're an idiot.
And why do all the Christians besides me want pie?
I for one, don't want pie. Also, who the Hell can't tell the 'I want pie!' answer is sarcastic? o.O
Christians only have to believe we're all descended from Adam and Eve to justify the redemption of Christ. This doesn't preclude evolution, for the same reason the discovery of "Mitochondrial Eve" and "Y Chromosome Adam" don't disprove it. See Most Recent Common Ancesptor for a discussion of the subject.
I'm Church of England. I want tea and cake. Or death!
Oh, and why, exactly, can a person not believe in Christianity and evolution simultaneously? I see nothing in the two that contradict each other, unless you're clinging to a false literalism that insists that every word in Genesis explains in detail exactly how the world came into being.
Wow... a fundie on mah forum :D
Anyhoo, not all that fundie methinks, mostly just narrowminded. And pie? Well, because pie is delishush, I suspect, delishush but ovahrated :P
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
