Yes, they can clearly see that we would be happier without their proselytizing, but they're going to choose to ignore that and pretend we're unhappy because we don't fit in their religion.
It's a good intention for some, as I believe it is for this person (who, at the very least, seems compassionate), but for most its pure arrogance.
