Quote# 22931

[How are nations to know what wars are just and what wars are unjust?]

Self defense, including the defense of a nation, is a legitimate cause.

That is the justification for the war we are currently in.

Brain_iaj, methinks that even if Iraq was no military threat to the US (or any other country not in the middle east), it is easy for those twats to construct a cause of self-defense, by declaring the possible threat to Israel a need to intervene, or the Iraqi hold of oil a threat to economy and so on.
I know this is bullshit, but I think thats the way Bro.Randy ticks. I mean, consider his \"legal\" threat to Yahweh. He sees enemys everywhere.

Well in that case, I think Bro. Randy and his family should all enlist and fight the good christian fight. What say you, fellas?

...Iraq didn't attack us or have the means of doing so.

Only Iraq had nothing to do with the attack on the World Trade Center. The United States attacked them for no real reason, other than because George Bush wanted to.

Looks like one of the kids posed a thoughtful question, and the good Brother spouts off utter bullshit.

so does that mean if a gang of youths bashed the living shit out of you and stole anything you had on you, that would count as self defence

So if my ex-girlfriend comes to my house and murders my bunny, I should go to the house of the girl I took to junior prom and get a restraining order on HER? That's one fucktarded analogy right there.

\"When did Iraq attack us Bro?\"

\"9-11.\"

\"No that was al-Queda, who have no connections to Iraq or Saddam Hussien.\"

\"Yeah, but Saddam Hussien had those WMD's.\"

\"That no one could find.\"

\"You're right and you have shown me for the hypocrit and asshat that I am. I will now willingly join your war protests and learn to love my fellow man, as my Lord Jesus commands of us.\"

\"Very good, here's your picket fence.\"

This is how an actual converstation would go with him. Except for that last part.

I think he's just proven that the Iraqi insurgents have God on their side.

Rome is defending herself, I knew it before. Only that invading a country is not defending oneself, specially if what comes is taking their resources and their virgins as reward.

So, can the heathens we're invading use that justification too? Just wondering.
