Remember, Jaysus keeps us alive past 200, while everyone else dies at a mere 70

Huh. My grandfather was a good Christian man. Went to church every Sunday, was the caretaker of the local cemetery, was an active layperson in the church.
Guess Jesus didn't love him enough to heal him from the five years of steady decline into Alzheimer's and death.
Maybe he was a closet Bhuddist or something.
3/12/2007 12:50:44 AM
Yeah, only Buddhists like Ronald Reagan get Alzheimer's.
3/12/2007 12:51:50 AM
3/12/2007 1:11:57 AM
yeah sure, and Christians never get cancer or alzhiemrs. Yeah right. Not.
3/12/2007 1:13:49 AM
Them Buddhists have the magic powers of health drinks made from the body fluids of near-extinct tigers. Nyah.
Wow, that guy's whole post is hilarious. \"You're more likely to be incarnated as bacteria than as a human, so Buddhism is false\". What an utter idiot.

Didn't you know that Christians don't have to get any medical insurance? [cough][cough]
3/12/2007 1:33:29 AM
Whatever, yeah. All Christians die, just like everyone else.
At least Buddhists don't fear death.
3/12/2007 8:46:07 AM
You know, there was recently an article in National Geographic which examined the physiological effects and causes of various emotions. In this they looked at the brain chemisty surrounding happiness and euphoria and found a positive link with the kind of meditations which many Buddhists practice.
Conclusion: Yes, they are happy. in fact, some of the happiest people on the planet.
Yes they do die, just as horribly and painfully as the rest of us.
Ok most of them do see themselves reincarnating (although I'm lead to believe that the ultimate aim is to break the reincarnation cycle?) but they also see death as perfectly natural and nothing to be afraid of, there certainly isn't any divine eternal punishment coming in the end merely another chance to get things right and avoid any mistakes you made this time around.

Why do christians end up on ventilators? If you have the benefit of jebus's healing touch, you shouldn't have to set foot in a hospital.
3/12/2007 9:18:15 AM
Then why doesn't he?
3/12/2007 9:36:42 AM
No Christian has ever suffered pain, disease or death? Piss off fucktard!
3/12/2007 10:37:57 AM
\"on some ventilator\" .... What? Does anyone know what this should mean? I mean I had trouble when I read the \"punches pilot\" line to connect it to Pontius Pilatus, but the ventilator ...

Christians don't get Alzheimer's?
I bet if someone called him on that he'd respond with the classic \"no true Scotsman\" fallacy
3/12/2007 1:24:26 PM
I bet. That's why my uncle, who was a minister, had several strokes and spent the last 4 years of his life mostly miserable. And he really wasn't that old, either.
3/12/2007 1:28:46 PM
No antibiotics for you. The buddhists are allowed though.
3/12/2007 1:50:09 PM
Are Buddhists happy? Generaly yes.
Do they have a higher than average instance of alzheimers? No they dont.
Do christians have a lower rate of cancer? no they dont.
Your position is refuted.
3/12/2007 2:22:51 PM
So true! That's why cancer wards in every hospital are packed with muslims and atheists and buddhists...it's like Minority Grand Central. Not a christian in sight!
3/12/2007 4:19:31 PM
Never heard a bigger load of crap in my life! My father (evangelical) died from cancer, my mother (baptist) died from a heart attack and my father's best friend (vicar) died from Parkinson's disease.
3/12/2007 4:50:25 PM
Christians are part of \"everyone else\" when you're talking about Buddhists, aren't they?
3/12/2007 7:48:06 PM
Christianity ... has the benefit of healing.
It could stand some more.
3/12/2007 8:02:32 PM
Christians get those things, too, and they die just like everyone else. Believing in Jesus doesn't keep you any healthier, or cause you to live any longer than anybody else.
