FFS, stuff we say on here is not likely to get back to the poster anyway, so we tell someone to STFU, DIAF etc.

If a site that caters to people who enjoy mocking hateful people, and has a name which is a take on an old comedy show by Art Linkletter, then maybe the comments here should be taken with a grain of salt. It's not like we are talking directly to the person, just typing our gut reaction to dumbshits saying dumbshit.

I don't understand exactly why our comments, the equivalent of sitting around with friends and having a few beers and making stupid or off-handed comments is so hideous to some people. Do we really want to police every line and psychoanalyze every bit of fluff that we don't like?

THAT sounds more like the fundies we mock.

Not sure why it's here, but anyone who would direct a post like that to the mother of a son who killed themselves deserves it. And I do hope he dies a slow painful death.

Meh. Comments like this are all over FSTDT. It isn't serious. Besides, as BurntBush says in the comments, the fundie at whom this was directed was being really awful, and Beccs's comment is a "fixed" version of the original quote.

I think this may have been inappropriately labeled as Fundy. People can express violent thoughts towards dispicable people without being themselves fundy. Expressions of or wishes for Violence =/= fundy. Intolerant/ignorant/bigoted/idiotic/hypocritical/ironic comments are what really constitute fundy statements. Some just happen to be violent in nature, as 'stupid is loud, stupid is violent.' But ultimately that is what this website is about. Showcasing stupidity and irrationality.

When I say Fred Phelps can eat shit and die screaing for all I care, that's hardly a fundy statement as he is probably one of the most vile and virtually insensitive assholes the world has seen lately, with a crazy streak that is almost virtually unrivaled. To most rational people that would come off as quite justified.

That's just my 2 cents anyway.
