I was flabbergasted that the liberal media had not checked into this matter. It is unthinkable to have someone running for the U.S. presidency that may have been taught as a youth that America is "The Great Satan" and the Jews are source of the world's ills.

There is no smoking gun linking Obama to radical Islam, but there are several troubling signs of deceptive behavior. In both of his best-selling autobiographies, Obama plays down his Muslim heritage. Obama was given the name Hussein by his Muslim father, which the Illinois Democrat rarely uses in public. Mr. Obama is said to be a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago ’s South Side, but he rarely attends services.

When conservative news outlets began covering the story, the liberal media went into damage-control mode. The Chicago-Sun Times ran the story that said, "Crazies doing best to smear Obama." ABC's "Nightline" blamed Fox News for giving credence to the story.

The only thing holding this nation together is our relationship with Israel. God said to Abraham, "I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee" (Gen 12:3). There is a natural enmity between the followers of Mohammad and the Jewish state, which is mostly spiritual in nature. I truly believe it be would suicide for our nation to have a leader who is even remotely connected to Islam.

Er, they did check into the matter. That's why they knew the smear story pushed by the Fox Noise Channel and all of the others was a pile of turds. They went out and got the facts before telling the story.

So, yeah. A few pointers:

a) The media isn't liberal. Get over it.

b) Hussein is his middle name. Most people don't use their middle name. I don't. Sometimes I even forget what it is other than the initial.

c) Despite not getting a lot done, politicians actually work a significant amount, more than your 40-hours with weekends off deal, so the fact that he doesn't get to church much isn't the end of the world. Neither do most politicians.

d) Barack Hussein Obama Sr. was a self-described agnostic from a Muslim culture. Not that it matters, considering he didn't have much influence in his son's upbringing, and lived on a different continent for most of Obama's life. Obama's mother was a white Christian.

e) Maybe do a little research before you go making statements about credible Presidential candidates like \"have been taught as a youth that America is 'The Great Satan' and the Jews are source of the world's ills\". It makes you look like a raging moron.

Blamed FOX for giving crediceny to the story? FOX does this every election. The story that Kerry only got hurt falling off a truck was traced bakc to FOX too. And now that they are getting more vicious in their political attacks, it just shows are desperate the radical right is getting. And of couse the \"liberal media\" checked the story, ABC had an interview with Obama. That's why the know FOX is doing another patented smear story.

The good thing about this story is that the mainstream media, for all its problems, has actually started checking these things. The fact that someone like Todd has not figured this out is unfortunate, but not exactly unexpected. It'll take the kind of miracle to make me a believer to change that.

There are plenty of nations that have no special \"relationship\" with Israel that are holding together just fine. It's this kind of paranoia that is half the problem in our country. It's as if this guy thinks that Israel can just put the God whammy on any nation they happen to be in a snit over.

And for the record, Obama rarely uses his middle name because asshats like you make a huge deal out of it. John Wayne's real name was \"Marion,\" does that make him a woman? Clark Gable's real name was \"Archie Leech,\" does that make him an invertebrate bloodsucker? We had an unfortunate little girl in Kindergaten last year whose parents gave her the tragically misguided name of \"Vulva.\" Does that make her a vagina? Names are meaningless, it's only jackholes like you that give them some sort of special significance.

And for the record, Obama's attendence at church is damn near perfect.


(Additional: Something tells me this guy also thinks of the Jews as \"Christ killers\" and doesn't see the ironic implications of his conflicting attitudes.)

In that case, you should throw out like 1/3 of Europe and six million people living in USA who do all the dirty job. And just for the record, there is a commandment thou shalt not kill that the Israelis are not fulfilling. Besides, how do you know that he doesn´t attend services?, are you a member of the church?, moreover, if you have no proof of his connection to Islam, why on earth you keep on claiming the opposite, don´t you realise that admitting that you´re putting yourself on ridicule?. In Indonesia, let alone when Obama was raised, they don´t think USA is the great Satan. That´s the Iranian people and Sadam. Second, he has no connection with his dad because this guy divorced his mom and he hasn´t talked to him since. Can´t you understand that?
