Quote# 19976

My Mom actually experianced a miracle that cant be called a coincidence. She requested for God to show her that he was there for her, at a stressful time in her life, she saw a angle that night.

Facts supporting this event:
-mom is not known for lieing
-she was not sleeping
-Mainly: the angel she saw was 12-13 feet tall, at the time she thought angles were much like cupid, small...shorter then humans. If this were a dream or a illisuion her mind would of created a image similar to that of cupid, yet it was 4 times the size! She did not realize why the angel was so big in real life till she read in the Bible that angels are 11-15 feet tall.

Or she was lying or she was dreaming. Those possibilities are more logical.

Oooooh, was it a 36 degree angle?

Finally, a testimony that's plausible!

My, my, anecdotal hearsay. Now that's a convincing argument.

Acute, obtuse, straight or reflex? Enquiring minds want to know what kind of \"angle\" she saw...

My Dad flies with Chuck Yager all the time. He's not known for lying either, just dementia.

She saw an angle? Well, I suppose you can find angles in many things.

Your mom needs to read the instructions on her meds before taking them.

Wow! Undeniable PROOF.

Someone says they saw an angle (presumably angel) during a time of stress. That's good enough for me!

Oh, btw, I've had dreams that seemed real too, when I've been stressed.

Facts supporting this event:

Fact: calling something a fact doesn't necessarily make it one.

mom is not known for lieing

As any psychologist can tell you, a person that hallucinates does not lie, he/she merely describes a purely imaginary event.

she was not sleeping

That really isn't important when you consider that dreaming about angels and hallucinating about them is pretty much the same thing to people other than the person who experienced the event.

Mainly...

Your mom just shot down your first \"fact\", or she sees things. Nope, doesn't make them real, sorry.

she thought angles were much like cupid

That's cupid when measured in degrees or radians?

Big deal, I see angles all the time. Especially in geometry. hard to understand how that helped your Mom though.

So, I rode my bike off a cliff, but managed to grab a tree branch and climb to safety? COOL!

(I actually dreamed that, very realisticly, recently)

First of all, you can't spell.

I'm going to be nice and ignore the whole \"angle\" thing. Also, I'm not going to ask for a citation for that Bible verse you mentioned; it wouldn't really count as supporting evidence anyway.

Also, not all hallucinations or dreams support psychological icons. Just because she thought angels were cupid-esque, doesn't mean that she wouldn't hallucinate/dream a 12-or-13-foot-tall figure. None of these \"facts\" constitute such.

Also, pyro214? Seriously?
