Our God is a God of Love, but also a God of Hate. Too common is the myth that God "hates the sin but loves the sinner." This is a lie! In many instances, as evident in the scriptures, God hates the individual who commits the wicked deed. Yes, it is true that our God is a God of Love, but He is also a God of Hate.

God of Love, hate, peevishness, anger, forgetfulness, practicle jokes, clumsiness, humor, black magic, halitosis, and atheletes foot fungi.
Sorry, nowhere in the NT they say that God is a God of hate. If you want to live in an alternative universe, go ahead, but please, stop being a dummbass to believe that we all have to swallow your crap.
CARDINAL: Our God is a God of two things: Love, and Hate, and Laws. Three things! Love, Hate, Laws, and Miracles. Um ... I'll start again.
Way to play both sides of the fence, there, Brent. No matter what happens, well, it was God what gone and did it.
I always suspected god had dissociative identity disorder.
Tripolar disorder, actually, according to issue #6 of the Howard the Duck III mini-series. If I remember correctly, God (or Jah, as he prefers to be called) explains to Howard that he was off his meds when he married and impregnated Mary. On the other hand he firmly denies having anything to do with the Bible ("Plot holes you could shove mount Sinaï through? I write better than that!").
1 Jo 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.
But also,
Nah 1:6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
Once again, proof that one can find something to support almost anything in the Bible.
Actually, there's not a single Bible passage implying that God hates anyone. God hates concepts, actions, and causes all over the Bible, but never people. Which is not to say that he's not angry at people, but you get mad at your children, right? You don't hate them.

Malachi 1:2-3 2 I have loved you, saith Jehovah. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother, saith Jehovah: yet I loved Jacob;
3 but Esau I hated , and made his mountains a desolation, and gave his heritage to the jackals of the wilderness.
God hates people before they are even born sometimes. You lose.
I'm afraid that condradicts many, if not EVERYTHING, in the Bible{or least, any early Bible}.
God does judge us for our mistakes, but does he throw us into hell?
No ****ing way.
IS homosexuality a sin?
Probably not.
Remember how Jesus often spoke out against most of the old Jewish laws{which included doctrine against homosexuality}????
{He disobeyed the Sabbath laws, you know. But for perfect reasons}
And, if Jesus taught us to love our enemies, then wouldn't He do the same?
I think so.
@Sandman: Yep, you got that right.
Oh, and check out this site;

@Dave : Actually, everything other than Sodom and Gomorrah and the flood, wasn't God's doing, but those of His people. They weren't perfect, you know!

According to the Bile it is.

Care to cite those passages?

Sure, the Jews did it, but only at the behest of their god:
Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities [which are] very far off from thee, which [are] not of the cities of these nations.
But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee [for] an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
But thou shalt utterly destroy them; [namely], the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:

Okay, you can keep your God of Hate, and I'll hang out with my Ultimate Creator, Jesus, a few pantheons, and maybe Lucifer every now and then.
At least my gods and goddesses are fun, unlike your genocidal, stuck up YHWH.
Confused?
