As we can see, the tiger's striped coat developed through natural selection, or God made them that way, or Salvador Dali flies around the world on a magic raccoon painting them that way every morning, or Sammy Davis Jr made love to a goat while looking at a striped stick and that produced the first tiger, or maybe the guy who played Murdock on the A-team created them in his basement out of a children's home science kit and a few million domestic cats, or maybe they all walk under a dripping tin of black paint when we're not looking, or maybe they're made of striped candy or ......
