And this means something because...

How did I manage to forget about Islam Q&A? It's a gold mine of funditude.

Islam haet doggie

Just for the record, there are plenty of Christians and Jews who do not keep dogs. I wouldn't know first-hand about the kaafirs and Communists, but I'm betting that the same would apply to them. Some of these folks cannot have pets, some just aren't especially drawn to have pets, and some just prefer other animals to dogs.
Oh, and though most dog owners do try to keep their pets reasonably clean, I'm sure that very few bathe their animals every day; but they don't really need to, since they typically don't get that dirty every day. And by the way, \"clean\" is relative; for instance, I think most dogs are bound to be a lot cleaner than the average camel. Just a thought.
Seriously, this is one of the weirdest broad-brush posts I have ever seen.

I like cats.
12/29/2006 11:47:12 PM
...And it's Monday there, too! Dang, but these folks are advanced.
What if you have cats and a dog in the same home? Hm. I'm probably heretical.
12/30/2006 10:06:42 AM
I hate dogs. Does that make me a Muslim or something now?
12/30/2006 11:10:54 AM
Dude, what the hell is wrong with you.
1/1/2007 12:30:40 AM
Funny, most of the people you mention who keep these \"unclean\" animals aren't dropping dead or anything, so even if this unverifiable taint exists, it is evidently harmless.
1/1/2007 12:40:11 AM
Islamic fundamentalists...hate dogs?
Learn somethin' new, I suppose.
1/1/2007 12:56:00 AM
I guess that explains all the stray dogs I saw in Iraq.

The joy of religion.
1/1/2007 1:30:18 AM
And yet, when I was living in Kuwait, plenty of folk had dogs...I guess they're a more liberal country? (yeah, liberal like only recently getting universal suffrage)
1/1/2007 2:05:41 AM
Why the fuck would you bathe a dog every day with soap?
Man, am I glad I'm not religious.
1/1/2007 2:56:25 AM
For a moment I thought that said they weep dogs. I though damn, that must hurt.
1/1/2007 2:59:09 AM
What about fish? You never have to clean them; they spend their entire day swimming around in the water; and, unless you're a particularly affectionate aquarium enthusiast, you never have to touch them.
1/1/2007 3:04:50 AM
So to sum up people who eat dogs good, people who love them bad?
1/1/2007 3:22:36 AM
O K I have dogs (bad) cats (good) and a turtle (weird) what religion does that make me?
1/1/2007 4:14:36 AM
I once tried to clean my dogs with all the water of all the seas in the world and all the soap in the world. They didn't like it. They just ran outside and rolled in the grass. Impure? Nah. Silly and grassy-smelling? Yeah. So your point is?
1/1/2007 4:31:05 AM
Well, it's not like Islam was ever the pinnacle of sanity.

Napoleon the Clown

I AM one of the world's worst housekeepers, but my nine 100 lb.+ dogs (www.UrsaMajorBullmastiffs.com) are not unclean or impure. I prefer their characters to that of most people. They are sincere and dependable.
1/1/2007 5:17:26 AM
Of course, silly fundie Muslim, you can't get anything clean with just soap and water! You need all-purpose Clorox (Quluroqs for our friends in Saudi Arabia!). Clorox literally burns the impurity right off the skin! It even burns the sinful skin itself! Try it on yourself and you'll see just how great Allah is!

I have a dog.
And a cat.
And two lizards.
And two turtles.
I wonder what that makes me.
1/1/2007 6:01:24 AM
Explanation. The dog is, according to the Koran, an impure animal. That´s it basically. Only that this idiot is virtually unable to explain us why or why the red half-moon is using them on rescue operations.
