I also agree with those that said God elected Bush so that we could have mideast turmoil. It's no coincidence that the election was so close it could have gone Gore's way without the intervention of the Supreme Court!
EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IS ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL. Make no doubt about it! If our invasion of Iraq causes a disaster, it was God's plan! Don't dispair my brothers and sisters in Christ! It's HIS plan.. we won't be here anyway! I don't think we will be here 5 years from now. I think Jesus will come first! If he doesn't, it just means he has even greater plans!

The Bible says that all government officials are chosen by God, therefore, Barney Frank, both Clintons and Al Gore, were all chosen by your God. That GWB and his cronies were chosen by God casts serious doubt on your God's judgement.
"It's no coincidence that the election was so close it could have gone Gore's way without the intervention of the Supreme Court!"
Indeed, without corrupt local and state officials, and a stacked supreme court, Gore would have been president.
"EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IS ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL. Make no doubt about it!"
Stop shouting. Until you prove that God exists, you have no grounds upon which to base such an assertion. No doubt about it.
"If our invasion of Iraq causes a disaster, it was God's plan!"
Some plan. How about if I sliced you up with a razor, would that be "God's plan?" Would you blame that on Satan? How can you be sure that war in the middle east isn't part of Satan's plan?
"Don't dispair my brothers and sisters in Christ! It's HIS plan.."
Don't dispair, bury your head in your Xian delusions, smile and spout some Bible verses.
"we won't be here anyway!"
How magnanimous of you to start a disaster with the idea that you and your pals will escape but the better part of humanity will be left in turmoil and torment.
"I don't think we will be here 5 years from now. I think Jesus will come first! If he doesn't, it just means he has even greater plans!"
If he doesn't, it just means that once again some deluded Xians wasted their time following ancient fairy tale as if it were true.
Yeah, tnlady, fuck you. God's plan? Fuck God's plan. People are suffering and dying, families are being torn apart on both sides of the ocean, and the madness of religious fundamentalism is spreading like a virus. Your God doesn't have a plan any more than George W. Bush does.
"EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IS ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL."
Then the 9/11 hijackers were doing god's will. And whenever a christian loses faith, it's god's will. And when I kick you in the nuts, that'll be god's will too.
Yes, yes, yes, once again, things are lining up for the Rapture. Once again, please tell me when exactly the Rapture will be, and I'll be sure to note it. Until you can do that, I will doubt anything you say.
Sounds trollish to me, but the induhvidual has been subscribed to the place since 2003. Hm.
Anyway, if God elected Dubyah, does that, considering that He isn't a registered voter in the USA, mean that He meddled with people's voting preferences? Or did He just rig the election?
I also agree with those that said God elected Bush
Every time I hear this I have to wonder if these idiots actually read their Bibles. The Books of Kings are FULL of rulers God put in place to punish the people being ruled by them . I think we could doodle Dubya in the margin, there.
It's no coincidence that the election was so close it could have gone Gore's way without the intervention of the Supreme Court!
Rehnquist was not God, or an agent thereof. Hell, half the time he couldn't even write a coherent legal opinion.
Not that it matters - ARGUMENTUM AD CAPSLOCK wins, according to God's will. /sarcasm
Well, lets see. You claim that everything that happens in the world is god's will.
We know that a huge amount of times throughout history there have been actions in pursuit of a certain aim and others directly opposite to them (for example, the war in Iraq, or any war for that matter).
Therefore, following your theory, God has a certain aim but at times takes action against it. For the sake of the argument ,lets assume there is a reason for this, it doesn't really matter what that reason is.
Now, seeing as God sometimes acts for his aim and sometimes against, we cannot deduce what that aim is from his actions alone until such aim is accomplished. Seeing as everything is God's actions, it is logical to assume that neither you nor anyone else can now what God's aim is (remember that the Bible could be one of the actions God takes against his plan).
Taking all this into consideration, god's plan turns out to be a useless concept, as it is unknowable and no possible enunciation of this plan can be tested, you cannot let what you think God's plan is to influence your choices in no way, as anything you choose will still be God's will, and you can't now if you are one of the for actions or the against actions .
Then why are you fundies so anti-abortion/homosexuality/other faiths, etcetera, etcetera, when it's all in your gods plan?
Hypocrit.
If you get raped, god's plan!
If your country gets invaded, god's plan!
If your country has a brain-dead warmongering president who is thicker then a redwood, god's plan!

If only all the fundies who believe in the Crapture would sit quietly at home and not preach, vote, or otherwise interfere with the rest of us. It should be a sign of their faith that they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and just wait passively for Gawd's Will to unfold.
So, if I kill tnlady and her ilk in a genocidal spree, I don't have to take responsibility! It's gawd's plan! Cool! Now I just need a good automatic, a LOT of bullets....
"Sounds trollish to me, but the induhvidual has been subscribed to the place since 2003. Hm."
I agree she's a troll. Maybe she just knows how to not get banned.
Then again, she could be a bat shit crazy Christian.
That's right, you won't be here. You're not here now, you're off in the land of the Cookoos. Fly home little cookoo. Sane people don't need you here anyways. Was this person allowed to vote? Seriously?
I don't think we will be here 5 years from now. I think Jesus will come first! If he doesn't, it just means he has even greater plans!
He said he'd be back before the original disciples kicked the bucket. It's been 2000 years.
Face it, you've been stood up.
"EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IS ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL."
So God wants me to do things God regards as sins? And he also wants me to spend an eternity in Hell for doing exactly what he wanted me to?
Wow, lucky for me God must want me to think he and you are a pair of retarded dickwads!
I guess God willed that dark-skinned fella' into the Oval Office too, then.
Eight years later (well, at least seven), and we're still here. Jesus still hasn't kept his promise to come back within the lifetime if his disciples...
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
