Quote# 16561

A womens hair is given to her for a covering. I attended a church where some of the more devout younger women had long thick hair. It really was beautiful when they would go to the alter to pray. Their hair was a covering, to show their modesty. Just like they wore modest clothing that covered them. Of course not all women are that devoted to God and it is not our place to judge them.

Isaiah talks about "haughty" women and how God will make them bald. I wonder sometimes if the reason people have problem with thin hair or their hair falling out is because they have a problem with being haughty, arrogance or with pride in some way.

I'll probably laugh everytime I see a bald minister or priest after reading this.

\"God hates you, you know how I know that?

You are bald.\"

Another item to add to the \"You can see God hates you if...\" list, just below the loss of limbs, loss of children, serious diseases, deaths in the family, gay children, gay nephews, gay tendencies in yourself, satan coming by for a beer and mor of those stupid petty things I don't realy care to mention.

To paraphrase some guy who's name I forgot: The most egocentric thing humans ever did was assume that a god is interested in their personal lifes.

Never mind that women were once required to keep their hair tied up because having it down showed vanity and was whorishly asking men to take notice of them. There was also a time they had to wear cloth over their heads from which hats possibly sprung.

According to John-John only women are subject to the hair laws and methinks Johnny is turned on by the hair and has somehow taken that most malleable of tomes, the bibble, and made it reflect what he likes.

Big surprise.

Yeah, Johnny-boy forgets that the Babble (or was it just the OT?) requires women to keep their head covered in the temple. It also speaks of wearing a veil...

So, why men have long hair too?, moreover, why was the fashion to have it longish some centuries ago?, why animals have hair too?. Why my father, a very devout religious man, has a little problem with alopecy?. John, I imagine that you´re one of the guys who will put my questions in your no answer file.

Besides, why were women in the OT shaven when they lost their virginity, if I can ask this idiot?

Fundie --> English Translation:

\"Women were born with hair, so they mustn't cut it short -- even though men are born with hair as well.

Now, some women cut their hair, and thus don't love God, are haughty, arrogant, and prideful, and God will curse them by making them bald.

But I'm not judging them!\"

My grandmother has such thin hair that she has to wear a wig, and she is one of the most giving and pious Christian women I know. Try again.

So... God does not love people (especially women) who have cancer and have lost their hair to chemotherapy?

God can go fuck himself then.

A womens hair is given to her for a covering.

Right, so what is a man's hair for? Dipping in chocolate sauce?

Their hair was a covering, to show their modesty. Just like they wore modest clothing that covered them.

No, their hair was covering them because that is the way they chose to wear it, imbecile. How exactly does the way you style your hair make god hate you? What a load of nonsense.

Of course not all women are that devoted to God and it is not our place to judge them.

Really? Ya think? Then why dont you take a leaf out of your own book and shut the fuck up.

By the extention of this guy's logic god likes ME out of the entirety of my male family the most. I'm the only one who isn't/wasn't bald or balding by 18 aside from one grandfather who doesn't care in the least about religion. He made it to his 60s before it got him, and even still, it isn't that bad.

Of course, we could go into memorable christian males who had long hair, but I guess he's just going to say it doesn't effect men.
