Besides, not only we could go on saying that series such as CSI and X-files had success and aren´t supposed to be polls on the fact of forensic sciences is ok or that reality is out there. And, of course, when is Harry Potter the bright one, there is an outcry of hell from people like you, NOPE. I am not going to backlash your hypocrisy and pick and choose. I mean, this series portrays too, very UNREALISTIC FACTS. For example, a black president. Of course, it´s not a referendum, because common 24 viewers are racist enough not to allow it to happen. Don´t use simplistic arguments.

I'm sorry, but disregarding the whole "24 is fictitious" and "just because I watch a show doesn't mean I agree with things on it" bits, I'd like to issue a one word rebuttal:

Guantanamo

Yeah, that place where people have been held for years and tortured without ever being charged. The place where most convicts were detained simply because their parents were middle eastern. The place where every human rights violation possible has been committed.
Oh yes, I know why you ignore it: because it doesn't officially exist! Despite the many, many videotapes of it, interviews conducted within it, and general public knowledge of it.... oh yes, and because the U.S government stated that they were closing the prison (only to replace it with one in Afghanistan).
