Hardline Indonesian Muslim cleric Abu Bakar Bashir, who was jailed for his role in the deadly 2002 Bali attacks, says scantily clad women on television are more dangerous than bombs.
"If one is asked which one is more dangerous, naked women or the Bali bomb, the answer is certainly the women with such revealing clothing," he said. A report on the state-run Antara news agency quoted Bashir warning that watching such women on television could destroy the faith of a believer.
He said he was perplexed by TV channels airing programs with women in skimpy outfits "and not programs that are blessed by Allah, such as the activities of prayer groups".
Bashir, 68, was released in June after serving more than two years for his role in the Bali blasts, which killed 202 people, including 88 Australians.

Abu Bakar Bashir really needs to get this message out to the terrorist cells throughout North America. Soon thousands of normal decent North Americans will be bombarded by images of women in skimpy outfits (or less), destroying their faith. Furthermore, since their activity would be totally legal, they would not face police action or eviction from the countries.

If the sight of a naked woman destroys someone's faith [through whatever means], then I would argue that the said faith was not particularly strong to begin with. If such an image is enough to send us to hell then why, according to the fundies, are women even around?
Maybe he is confusing the atom bomb testing on the Bikini Islands with scantily clad women.
Bikini babes may or may not destroy the faith of the believer, but bombs are proven to destroy believers themselves.

How come the "martyrs" who blow up little children don't get welcomed into paradise by prayer groups instead of virgins?

The scary thing is this guy actually may know what he is talking about. He doesn't really mean naked women are deadlier than bombs, he just wants people to believe so. What he means is naked women are deadly to bombs , or more presicely bombings .
For a moment, I thought the headline read "Nuk es Deadlier Than Bombs" rather than "Nud es Deadlier Than Bombs" when I started reading the article and finding nothing about nuclear weaponry.
Besides, why in the Koran they punish more severely a killer than a sluttish woman?. And, of course, people slaughtered in Jerusalem in the Crusades or the 9/11 victims seem not to agree with you.
You know, Abu Bakar Bashir, if you actually got laid every once in a while, you probably wouldn't be so inclined to blow yourself up.
Ok, I know it's dangerous n' all but i feel compelled to throw myself on top of the first naked woman I see in order to save everybody else.
