Quote# 14255

Thank God I am not catholic. I thank the good Lord my mom found Jesus and sent us to a Nazarene church right before we were to start getting brainwashed in the catholic church when I was in third grade.

Get homeschooled. You'll know for sure that you won't be contaminated with \"knowledge\" or other \"religions\" that way.

Hoo, I wouldn't say this up for an Irony Award, because you can't say for sure whether or not which religion is true. But it sure would be good for a \"My Brain Washing is better than yours\" award.

\"I'm really awfuly glad I'm a Beta, because I don't work so hard. And then we are much better than the Gammas and Deltas. Gammas are stupid. They all wear green, and Delta children wear khaki. Oh no, I don't want to play with Delta children. And Epsilons are still worse.\"

Huxley, Brave New World

So much for brain washing.

I'm so lucky my mom took me to McDonalds! We were about to go to Burger King!

It doesn't matter if they call it a Big Kid's meal or a Happy Meal, you're still getting a toy.

\"Thank God I am not catholic. I thank the good Lord my mom found Jesus....\"

When did the Catholics ever lose him?

This is a textook example of the fact that a fundy defines a cult as \"the church down the street.\"

I support the \"Death By Irony Overdose\" Award nomination!

I grew up in a Catholic household and went to a Catholic school as a child. I could've sworn they taught us about Jesus. We even read passages out of the Bible.
Oh well, I guess I must've been mistaken.

Anyway, the brainwashing didn't take. I opened my first science book and Genesis didn't make any sense anymore. The rest fell apart gradually as I attained the ability to reason.

After seeing what \"christians\" believe, I am actually glad I was brought up Catholic. I never thought I'd say that. Catholic doctrine starts to look progressive next to some of the fundie beliefs.

Here now. I was raised Nazarene and I can honestly state they are better than Catholics.

Nazarenes allow the use of Birth Control. :D

Irony overdose Award AND My Brainwashing is better than Yours award. Can it win both?

Veinor: Awards have to be given in the month that the quote appears, so this one is no longer in the running.

But I love the sound of the \"My Brainwashing Is Better Than Your Brainwashing Award\"; I think that we would have no trouble finding an occasional winner for that one.

Welcome to the site!
