Quote# 13898

So if I were to agree God made you a Marxist, would you agree God made me a Nationalist? (Come on...let's see your double-talk!) Well, I know God made me a Right-winger -- He delivered me from the scourge of liberalism -- but I somehow doubt God made you a Marxist, because Marxism is inherently anti-Christian. Marxism is responsible for 100,000,000 deaths, including millions of Christians, in the 20th century alone. It is an unnatural, evil philosophy which seeks to destroy Christianity and everything else which binds western Nations together.

And just how many deaths is Xianity responsible for? How far back has humanity been held by religion? How much free thought been stifled? And this guy calls Marxism evil?

Marxism caused no deaths.Marxism is a philosophy, an idea; ergo, it can not kill anyone. Followers of Marxism could have killed people, but they didn't. Leninists and Stalinists, now THEY killed people. Lots of people. 100 million, though, is a rather exaggerated number. So is 'millions of Christians'. So really, your entire post is bunk. Go learn what Marxism is before you accuse it of all of these horrible things. While you're at it, note the similarities between Marxist beliefs and the teachings of Jesus. You will be rather suprised.

100 million in this century? Does he just make up his facts as he goes along?

I don't see anything particularly atheistic or anti-God about \"from each according to his ability; to each according to his need.\" In fact, I've always thought Marxism, the theory, was an arguably independent (given its Jewish and secular birth) yet accurate attempt at the Christian conception of justice, community, and our duty to our fellow man.

But right-wingers are known to rail against most of the Bible's principles... ironically, in defense of their own blasphemous and clearly unchristian beliefs.

You wouldn't know Marxism if it walked up and bit you on the arse.

\"100 million in this century? Does he just make up his facts as he goes along? \"

Fundies try to connect unconnected dots.
In this case they like to mush marxism, communism, Hitler, Pol Pot, Islam and everything else into one category, then assign blame for everything done by all of them
to whichever one of them is the subject of the current rant.

Its possible that 100 million people were killed in various massacres in the 20th century, and if you are able to
combine atheism, evolution, islam, Nazis and marxism into one category,
you can claim that marxism killed 100 million people.

\"So if I were to agree God made you a Marxist, would you agree God made me a Nationalist?\"

No, I am not a Marxist, few American, even those evil, Liberal, atheists, are actually Marxists. You may have nationalist tendencies, but \"God\" didn't make either of us.

\"(Come on...let's see your double-talk!)\"

Double, double, double, double.

\"Well, I know God made me a Right-winger -- He delivered me from the scourge of liberalism\"

\"God\" killed off so many of your brain cells that you became a conservatard and now think that Liberals are a scourge. Is that really your excuse? You were probably born stupid, raised to be stupid and have a future devoid of anything but stupidity, but don't blame your imaginary friend.

\"-- but I somehow doubt God made you a Marxist,\"

Good, let's at least agree on the point.

\"because Marxism is inherently anti-Christian.\"

I don't think that's actually true, but I, while I'm not a Marxist, I am anti-religion.

\"Marxism is responsible for 100,000,000 deaths, including millions of Christians, in the 20th century alone.\"

This is probably not true. I mean, really, 100 million?

\"It is an unnatural,\"

I agree that pure Marxist is unworkable because it defies human nature. Not everyone in a society can live up to it's tenets.

\"evil philosophy which seeks to destroy Christianity and everything else which binds western Nations together.\"

That generalization is obviously false. Marxism does not seek to destroy EVERYTHING which binds western nations together. Also, I don't think Xianity binds western nations together, I think it often divides nations.

Marxism is an altogether rather decent idea that was both unapplicable and quite poorly executed.

That said, I am pleasantly surprised to see that many people defending Old Karl...

Right because Christianity never hurt anyone. Marxism is anti religious period, there is nothing special about Jeh-us in the Marxist view.

Also, I'm sure the human wasteland you are is a product of your environment, your friends, family, experiences, failures, and triumphs (and finding God does not count). Do you really think you would be the person you are if God made you in Japan, or fuck, another part of the state you grew up in?

It is more likely that christianity has killed 100 million people than the marxists.

It is also interesting to see how Xians deliberately misunderstand the concept of marxism as well as the meaning of the words nationalism and liberalism.

Stupidity is obviously to stupid to die...

Just because Stalin killed a bunch of people, doesn't mean that Marx wasn't onto something. Even if Marx didn't get it all right, he still may have been working in the right direction.

Jesus and Karl could be best friends. They both were against the concept of money and hated rich people. Jesus once said that a rich person is just as likely to get into Heaven as a camel is to walk through a needle.
I'm not sure about the number this person gives. Stalin had 20 million killed in the Great Purge, and I hear Mao killed a lot as well (Too lazy to Google a number).
Didn't Marx advocate violence against the bourgeousie, though?
