If you are trying to save face because of normies they already think that we all support mass murdering and other such things and have shown no desire to change that opinion. Let me start with the obvious, dudebro: /r/braincels is trying to avoid getting banned like /r/incels did. Reddit's admins are setting the bar as low as they possibly can, but if your subreddit does the whole "Saint Elliot" thing, it's getting the hammer.
Now, for the less obvious: the whole "trolling" tactic has been abused to the point where you really can't use it as your defense any more. Nobody cares if you mean it or not.
