My question is prompted by a comment from ArmedAg on the 'Same Sex Marriage' thread.

If they (Texas Regulars) were in charge, the USA would not be on the path of self-destruction.

Does anyone actually believe this?

For those that don't know, this was a party that garnered approx. 11% of the Texas vote in '44. They also ran on a platform of 'restoring the supremacy of the white race'.

Yeah, it's such a stretch that a white supremist group would engage in lynching.

By 'restoring white supremacy', they would be placing one race above another. Liberty would undoubtedly be stripped of those not of the privaleged race.
