I don't know it would even have to be brains... maybe you're thinking of kuru, or Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease? Since it's a blood-borne disease, I imagine that anyone butchering a primate that had the disease, or coming into contact with the raw meat, could be at risk. Considering that bush meat is even now a huge trade, despite restrictions against killing and trading endangered species, I think that's a lot more likely as the source of human infection than \"ass-fucking a monkey.\"
