Quote# 1287

The sick man has no need for suicide; God will give him death when God sees fit. Suicide is a grave sin as well as euthanasia. We have to reject these sins. They will lead us to eternal pain in hell if we accept them as our free will. God has revealed it; like it or not, Sir.

Coming from somebody who has never known extreme pain or terminal illness first-hand.

Why does it bother you if somebody else chooses to end their life? Seriously.

Fundamentalism - a crippling fear that somewhere, somebody might be thinking for themselves.

Then why do anything at all? I mean, God will get whatever he wants done, done. I mean, he's allmighty isn't he? And Omnipresent? So, why protest against gays, stem cell research, immodest movies and Disney Channel, or indeed, why do anything but pray?

Well... go ahead, I'll be over here.

The early church didn't see it your way, Sir. In fact, suicide was only made a sin after the church realized it was losing its followers (and hence its money and influence).

Screw you for saying everyone who commits suicide goes to Hell! My stepfather committed suicide and he was in a LOT of pain. We tried to help him, but he was in more pain than we thought. He also accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, so according to the Bible he is in Heaven!

Get back to us when you are terminally ill, with only a few months to live. A few months that are filled with constant and unbearable pain, that is. A minute will then seem like a year and a few months like several lifetimes.

I have never been unfortunate enough to suffer pain like that, but I can still imagine how incredibly horrible it might be. How come you can't?
