"I do not believe in evolution. I do not choose what I believe. I am compelled to believe what I believe by the presentation of evidence which leads only to one logical conclusion. ...That is why we believe it."
Look at your words: "I do not believe...what I believe...what I believe...that's why we believe." Evolution is completely faith-based. It's a belief. Nothing is observable without having to exercise a blind faith.

No matter how they word it the creationist takes it back to his childish level of belief.
You Ray, believe in a fable without reason, I think you said you had a 'personal experience' (copyright: Every bullshit religion ever) and I say you're lying, pretty safe bet that, you lie A LOT.
The guy you're not answering pointed out that there's evidence, which there is, no matter how much you clowns ignore it, lie about it or misrepresent it there is evidence life has been changing for a very long time. You certainly weren't there Ray, you're not even really here if you insist in those fairy tales and all you stupid apologetics like magic eggs and deity designed fruit.
What's the opposite, Ray? I "don't believe"?
I don't believe I just read that post. I don't believe it's not raining here today. I don't believe I had bran flakes for breakfast. I don't believe it's April 21st. I don't believe I'm wearing this pair of shoes.
We say we believe the evidence of evolution because we know damn well there are people who do not believe it. For the purposes of clarification, we call those people "morons".
It's a common fundie argument - well, commonly implied, but not likely to be understood unless spelled out - that listening to a scientist or reading a science textbook is an act of pure faith because you, personally, did not see the evidence nor run the experiments, and your interpretation of the results would probably be different from theirs. Basically, the only way to trust science is if everyone personally reinvented the wheel.
Funny how they don't apply that standard to anything else, especially religion.
...meanwhile, in Westminster Abbey, central place of worship of the Church of England:

Belief not required, Ray Cumfart.
So they acknowledge that Evolution is proven scientific fact. They're still here.
So, in other words, belief and blind faith is bad? Ray, do you really lack that much self-awareness?
I believe in evolution in the same way I believe I am currently sitting on a chair - in other words, there is overwhelming evidence that I am, in the case of the chair, most notably that I am not suddenly finding myself falling on my ass. The only way this could be considered 'blind faith' is if you think we're disembodied brains sitting in jars (or, in Ray Comfort's case, an empty jar) dreaming everything we think we're experiencing, and it is therefore an act of blind faith to believe we can actually reliably ascertain anything about the universe at all by simply using our own senses and reason.
Confused?
