Thanks, I actually missed talking to you and our other friends when I had to lay around with my foot propped up! Oh, It makes me so indignant when I hear people say "Birds are the closest living relatives to dinosaurs!" Kentucky Fried T-Rex? I think not!! They even faked fossils to have feathers to prove their point(not the first time that was attempted, either,as in the case of the infamous "Piltdown Man")And it is true that "fowl" in the Biblical sense is a broader term than how we define it now.Just as some other herbivores are called "cattle"not just bovines.

Why should you be "indignant" at the relationship between dinosaurs and birds? It isn't a personal attack on you. True, it's beyond your ability to understand, at least with the education you now have, but as the dinosaurs never mention you by name, I think you're extraordinarily touchy.

"Piltdown man", a century-old joke, was proven to be a hoax by (...wait for it...) OTHER SCIENTISTS. That's what we do. And if you can prove that the fossils are faked, some measure of fame is waiting for you. But it doesn't happen by you just sitting back in your chair and looking at a picture (or text) and declaring it isn't so. Sorry, tootsie, but you've got to get down in the trenches and get your hands dirty.

We're scientists. Arguments bounce right off us. We need EVIDENCE.

Kentucky Fried T-Rex

I'd eat that.

Honey, scientists don't care how you feel about feathered dinosaurs. All they care about is the evidences.

Read the Asimov short story "A Statue For Father"...(dinochicken!)

It's been a while since I've seen a story written like that. Here's a similar one (also about time travel).

Not true. No one said Piltdown Man had feathers. No one.

Oh yeah. Everyone rushed to establish a relatively recent species of feathered primates.

Clearly one greedy huckster discredits something for all time. Now, how many greedy hucksters attempting to profit off religion have there been again?

Well maybe you should try it some day.

It was indeed a 'fowl' and crude hoax when they put the feathers on the Mr. Piltdown!

Now there's your problem!

Why couldn't you talk online to your friends when your foot was propped up?

Not ALL dinosaurs turned into birds, silly-nilly. Most just went extinct.
More like Kentucky Fried Pterodactyl.

Scientists realized that the Piltdown Man was a hoax. Science works.

Yeah, "fowl" apparently include bats, regardless of their total lack of feathers, and rabbits were cattle too, apparently.

" I think not!! "

That much is obvious

Doubting Thomas

It shows how desperate they are to prove evolution is a hoax when they pull out Piltdown Man. What they never seem to realize is that Piltdown Man was found to be a hoax because he didn't fit in with evolutionary theory, so a closer look was taken at the skull and it was found to be a fake.

*edit* Actually, after reading the Wikipedia article, the Piltdown skull was challenged from the very beginning by some scientists, and as early as a year after its "discovery" some had concluded that it was a human skull with an ape's jawbone. But my point still stands that it was considered an evolutionary aberration which didn't fit in with the theory, and eventually was outed as a hoax. And what creationists also don't seem to realize is that Piltdown Man was actually a hindrance to learning about evolution because it led scientists down a blind alley, leading them to focus on it rather than actual, real fossils discovered elsewhere.
