They have already had millions of years to develop complex language and intelligent thought. If it hasn't happened by now, it's not going to happen. And can anyone say why evolution stopped, why, at this very time, there is not an ongoing, wide range transient forms apes to humans in all ranges of evolution in existence right now? If it is so natural, wouldn't it reason that many of those transient forms of animals between apes and humans would be in existence now?
But providing that is actually happening, I think that in several million years, if evolutionists are right, and as is often shown on Star Trek, you would think that humans would have evolved to pure energy of thought, or some similar form, and will not be dependent on anything physical such as this planet. Which makes me wonder why evolutionists don't think like that anymore. But, after all, your comment assumes that apes will be evolving and that means humans won't be exactly standing still, stagnant while that happens, but will be evolving also. If not that, what are humans evolving to?

Evolution is not goal oriented. Nothing is evolving towards anything pre-determined. All evolution is is adapting to an ever-changing environment.
I mean, since you decided to bring in Star Trek, let me bring in SF debris' rebuttal to one of their most infamous "examples": "Even if that somehow was evolution, individuals don't evolve! WE ARE NOT POKÉMON!"

Now wait a minute, Westerners have only been in Louisiana and Mississippi for a couple of centuries. But you're right, we won't see any complex language or intelligent thought coming from there any time soon.
Evolution is still going strong. Humans are apes, and you are a transient form of animal between your parents and your children.
Elephants are evolving smaller tusks and rhinoceroses are evolving smaller horns. Hopefully they will manage it in time to survive as species.

What do "evolutionists" don't think like anymore?
Humans are evolving into something new, that initially will be old-human-like and with every generation be a bit less old-human-like and more new-human-like. With the eagerness that we are destroying the environment and the climate, we might become extinct in the near future, and something completely new, non-oxygen-breathing and heat-loving will emerge in our place.

Because they evolved before evolution stopped.
Really, stop saying this stupid shit, it makes you look like a stupid shit sayer.
Because:
1) Intelligence past a certain point has not proven beneficial to a species
2) Intelligence has actually not shown itself to be a long term survival trait. Most of the best surviving species don't have a lot of intelligence (insects, sharks, crustaceans, etc)
Evolution hasn't stopped. It just happens at such a slow pace with most organisms it doesn't appear to us to be happening, but it does. That's why scientists often discover it in short-lived organisms such as bacteria which have numerous generations in our lifetimes. That's how we discovered nylon-eating bacteria and Dr. Lenski discovered citrate-eating E. coli. But I'm well familiar with creationists' retort: "But they're still just bacteria!"
Because scientists never thought like that? Sci-fi authors with some strange idea that evolution has a direction and goals, maybe, but not scientists.
As to human evolution, given time, research, and (hopefully) the slow fade of views opposing it, it will become a more controlled affair rather than the slow randomness of natural selection. But I suppose we'll have to see. Give it a few hundred millennia.
Evolution continues. In Mexico a majority of the population are born without wisdom teeth. I'm not Mexican but I was also born without wisdom teeth although, interestingly, all three of my daughters had them. Probably because my wife had them.
ENERGY IS A PROPRTY OF A SYSTEM, NOT A SUBSTANCE! Nothing can be "made of pure energy". Furthermore, the mind, at least any mind known to humanity, including the human one, is an emergent property of the brain. It is rather unlikely that such a complex systems that can be irreparably destroyed by very small changes could be replicated in an entirely different form of matter.
