It is my contention that evolution is, from a scientific perspective, an almost totally irrelevant sideshow. The number of scientists who have actually used evolution for anything over the last 150 years is dwarfed by the number of scientists who are still desperately trying to provide a scientific foundation for TENS. The only reason evolution is assumed to be of such presumed importance is due to its philosophical usefulness to materialist philosophers and pedopropagandists like Richard Dawkins.

Really dickhead, even if their are unknowns and problems to be worked out, the answer is not that "something utterly ridiculous for which there is no rational explanation" MUST therefore be correct. For an otherwise intelligent person to be asserting such desperate drivel really just demonstrates how emotionally and spiritually weak you are.

Biologists "use" the theory of evolution like astrophysicists "use" the Big Bang or chemists "use" atomic theory. Even if they aren't specifically referring to it in a given experiment or giving credit to it in a publication, it is the foundation upon which everything in that field rests. If our understanding of evolution is in error it would only be because there is some facet to it that has yet to be discovered. Like how Newton's theory of gravity was "wrong" because it lacked an understanding of relativity. There is virtually no chance that we'll ever discover that ToE is completely off the mark and thus that most of modern biology (and all of its evidence and predictions that have come true) is false.

"scientists who have actually used evolution for anything " - Everyone involved in agriculture, not just those working with genetic modification. 150 years ago our crops and livestock were significantly different, and the changes have taken place because humans used the drivers of evolution - selection & isolation.
It's irrelevant to the mathematician. It's irrelevant to the chemical engineer. It's irrelevant to the physicist. And it's irrelevant to all those who do not comprehend it. That's a sign that our education system has failed them, sadly. But fear not, it's never too late to learn, for those who want to learn.
It seems contradictory, but evolution is extremely relevant to Vox Day, or perhaps I should say "the evolution straw man" is relevant to him. It's his favorite target. He hasn't learned that to rebut the science, it's going to need a lot more science to do so. Sneering is not considered a valid defense of any competing theories.
