There are only two groups of people who will take TDVC [The Da Vinci Code] as the gospel and swear up and down that every word is the truth: the Christophobes and the feminazis.

Since Christophobes and feminazis are strawmen that conservatives do battle with on a daily basis, and therefore do not actually exist, your sentence means no one will take it as the gospel. Congratulations, you are correct!
If the folks at FC mattered, we'd have something to talk about.* Also, sweeping generalizations are the last resort of those who're too fucking stupid to actually do some research before opening their fucking gobs.
* I'm aware of the irony of talking about the folkers at FC while saying they're not worth talking about. Ha hahahaha
There is one group who might take it as the gospel, actually - conspiracy nuts. But their opinion, as usual, can be safely ignored.

Crosis, they actually do. And did long before Brown ever wrote the book. Its based on an actual CT.
I take "TDVC" as gospel. That is I think it is as fictional as the gospels. OK, maybe not quite as fictional as the gospels, but a work of fiction for sure.
Those who believe "TDVC" to be true are as deluded as those who believe the Bible to be true.
As much as this may get me in trouble here, I loved The Da Vinci Code . As a work of fiction, I thought it was an enjoyable diversion.
I don't feel the same way about the Bible. While I believe it to be just as fictitious, I don't find it enjoyable. I find it to be hateful, racist, misogynistic, and unbelievable.
That being said, there is a substantial amount of evidence for an alternate view of the early period of Christianity, and the developing belief of the first Christians.
As has already been said on this forum, if anyone feels threatened by The Da Vinci Code perhaps they should re-examine their faith?

Fiction. People.
Fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, fiction, FICTION!
IT MEANS NOT REAL! LOOK IT UP!
...And there are two descriptives for the people who think other people believe DVC is true: fundiebots and conservatards.
The supposition that Jesus and Mary had kids is plausible, seeing as how she was his constant companion between the days at Galilee and his curtain call in Jerusalem.
Simon Peter and some of the others were grossed out because Jesus actually kissed Mary full on the mouth...in public!!1!
Of course, the pharisee Paul had a serious issue with normal sexual relationships, so all the NT ghostwriters followed his lead.
The Gnostic scripture goes into more detail.
I am irked, though, as there is not a complete copy of the Gospel of Mary extant.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
