[About Christmas and Easter having pagan origins]
seriously, that's what i wanna know
i believe such holidays should only be reserved for Christians though
others shouldn't be given this day of worship, it doesn't make sense

Just because early christians "stole" the date and certain traditions from the pagans does not make it a christian holiday. And even if it was, I can't go around forbidding people to celebrate anything on my birthday, so why should you be allowed the sole right to easter? There are 6 billion people on this earth making it very plausible that multiple holidays were, at one point or another, celebrated on hte same day.
Now I reveal the Secret Teachings of Jesus:
25:13 Thou shalt celebrate my birthday by spending half your nest egg on a ton of garbage for your kids, friends and other family members, to the point of requiring an additional mortgage
05:57 Blessed is he who adorns his house and lawn with a multitude of christmas decorations, and overcometh his neighbors in sheer quantity of decorations, rivaling the light output of a baseball stadium at night
12:32 He that overcometh, and loves me shall view every christmas tv special, especially those on the fox network
32:02 For he who that keepeth my commandments, shall each chop down a large coniferous tree, encouraging everyone else to do so as well, sparing not the forest, and shall throw a small fortune into its decoration
11:45 And thou shalt put a plate of cookies and a glass of milk upon thy mantle for my servant, Claus. But greater still is he who includes a shot of jagermeister
19:13 For he show proof of his blessing, who shows off presents recieved on my birthday, especially if his presents are larger or more expensive than thy neighbors
48:09 I say, Lo, For he is wise who drinketh on my birthday until he get drunketh, and spareth not his family with the rod or broken whiskey bottle
"others shouldn't be given this day of worship, it doesn't make sense"
If that's your feeling about it then how about if I start my own religion and co-opt all of your holy days as my own and then, to add a little more insult, bitch and complain that *you're* using *my* religious holy days?
You fundies either don't know your own religion's history, which I suspect, or you just like to bitch and moan.
You know what doesn't make sense? Pig ignorant asshats like yourself who are so ill-informed that they don't even realize that their "one true religion" stole all of of its holidays, most of its rituals, many of its beliefs, nearly all of its myths, and almost every last one of its figures, from other religions. And what makes even less sense than that is that said pig ignorant individuals then bitch about members of other religions having holidays on the same day!
How the fuck do you continue to breathe?
"I just hope that this year, instead of getting caught up in the commercialism of the season, we can all remember what it's about. Family, love, and the hope that for just one night a year, the world can sleep in heavenly peace and wake up to a flaming Christmas tree, bull testicles, shoe fruit, and a terrifying black elf. Just as Jesus intended."
"Others shouldn't be GIVEN this day of worship"? Who the heck GIVES holidays? They are merely claimed! And in this case, the Christians assimilated them, Borg-style, as their religion overtook the various regions in which these festivals were practiced, so if anyone should give up or reschedule major holidays, it's Christianity.
Historical Revisionist Award? Maybe not a finalist, but surely a worthy nominee at least.

Listen children to the tale of Easter, the spring festival of renewal. The great Goddess Eoster dresses in her preferred spring frock and in her chariot is pulled through the sky by 8 small bunnies. She brings candy and presents to all children in the world.
Christians stole the idea.
Confused?
