Quote# 11162

Many believe in evolution for the simple reason that they think science has proven it to be a fact and, therefore, it must be accepted. In recent years, a great number of people having finally been persuaded to make a real examination of the problem of evolution, and have become convinced of its flaws and are now convinced anti-evolutionists."

Henry Morris, a former evolutionist

I came across this quote while doing a paper against evolution and I really like it because it is true for a lot of people. People who dont do any research of their own and just accept what they've been told.

<< People who dont do any research of their own and just accept what they've been told. >>

It's a good thing I rely on natural irony sensors and not the fragile artificial ones.

For every one person that looks at evolution and becomes \"convinced\" that it can't work, there are a hundred people that look at the theory and see that it works.

\"People who dont do any research of their own and just accept what they've been told\" believe the BuyBull.

Oh, and perhaps you should read \"The Genesis Flood\" before you start backing this Henry Morris guy. He's a moron. He attributes the geological collumn, which shows clear evidence of the evolution of life from simple to complex organisms this way:

\"The more complex an organism is, the longer it stays afloat, and the longer it takes to sink. That's why the single celled organisms are found at the bottom layers, followed by multi-cellular creatures, etc.\" (I'm paraphrasing, of course.)

Interestingly enough, he makes no attempt to explain why FISH are found near the bottom of the strata. Apparently, they (the FISH) drowned and sank to the bottom before the reptiles, and mammals.

\"I came across this quote while doing a paper against evolution and I really like it because it is true for a lot of people. People who dont do any research of their own and just accept what they've been told.\"

Indeed, that quote is accepted as true by people who don't do any research of their own, and just accept what they've been told.

The theory of Evolution has it's flaws. The Newtonian theory of gravity has it's flaws. The relativity theory has it's flaws. This is not a reason to think that gravity did not happen before a consensus was reached over which theory was the most correct.

\"Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome of the debate.\"
I don't really remember who said this, but I think that it is an appropriate quote for this matter.

Considering all the careful research that went into that paper, it's truly a shame that we didn't get to read it. I'm certain it would have been so enlightening.

Actually, people who do the research accept evolution. People who do NOT research reject it.

Oh, my. A paper against evolution. I'm guessing that all the evidence that supports evolution was either dismissed out of hand or taken down using other creationists' \"research.\"

"Many believe in evolution for the simple reason that they think science has proven it to be a fact and, therefore, it must be accepted."

No, we don't 'believe' it, quite the opposite. Indeed, 'belief' doesn't even enter into it. We acknowledge Evolution to be fact, simply because there's the shitloads of evidence to explain what is generally accepted to be no longer a 'theory', but is now fact.

"In recent years, a great number of people having finally been persuaded to make a real examination of the problem of evolution, and have become convinced of its flaws and are now convinced anti-evolutionists."

Just naming one, a 'Henry Morris', isn' a 'great number' in any sense of the definition, I think you'll find. Full list of names, addresses, telephone numbers & e-mail addresses of such, or be proven the liar you are.

"I came across this quote while doing a paper against evolution and I really like it because it is true for a lot of people."

A 'lot of people', eh? You, 'Henry Morris', Ray Comfort (& his bum-chum Kirk Cameron) and Kent Hovind. My, the five of you are certainly going to destroy the old thinking of the scientific establishment with the new paradigm that is your 'research', aren't you? [/sarcasm]

Good luck with that.

"People who dont do any research of their own and just accept what they've been told."

You & messrs. Morris, Comfort, Cameron & Hovind? You said it, I didn't.
