Quote# 11074

You guys are always saying this. Why don't you give evidence for your own claims ? What has Hovind, Gish or Ham ever said that was faulty ?

The mind boggles...

What the hell have they ever said that's meritorious?

Sometimes I wonder (not for long though) if Hovind et al are willfully lying or if they really believe the nonsense they spout.

Jeremy. Interesting idle discussion point. Anyone brave enough to psychoanalyse his dribble?

From the little I've seen I'd say it's quite deliberate. The levels of deception and corner cutting he has used in aspects of his financial affairs, the lack of intellectual integrity and the deliberate fabrication of strawmen, non sequiturs and ad hominems are clearly biased, polemic and disturbing, and CLEARLY he had no intention at all of being accurate or honest.

Therefore, we are left with, he is deliberately peddling snake oil to the desperate masses as a charlatan fulfilling a demand. Given the debates he's been in, given the evidence that is out there, given he deliberately perverts and twists facts, to entirely misrepresent evolution etc, this has to be purposeful and deliberate! His refusal to update, correct or remove fraudulent or misleading information or anything proven to be incorrect, shows he is not in the slightest degree, interested in the truth.

Dunno how many of these you can wade through - I found them worse than the batshit in CTSTDT!

When you lie so much and for so long you end up believing your own lies. Has Hovind reached that point yet? I think he's in the edge.

I also seem to recall reading that either Hovind or Ham openly advocates that children disrupt their science classes any time evolution comes up.

Which is, quite frankly, almost as idiotic as those protestors who flew the Mexican flag over the American one.

My impression is that Gish is a liar for the lord and that Hoodwinked Hovind is a phantast who believes every word that comes out of his mouth.

\"Bugs don't have nostrils. Bugs breath through their skin through sphericals. I don't think you could even demonstrate, believe it or not, I don't think you could demonstrate bugs are alive!\"
-\"Dr.\" Kent Hovind

\"Accepting millions of years of the geological ages (as the evolutionists interpret the fossil record) destroys the Bible’s teaching on death, which clearly indicates that there was no animal death or human death before the Fall.\"
-Ken Ham
\"You see, where Archaeopteryx has some features associated both with birds and reptiles, it certainly was not intermediate; none of the structures were intermediate. I think maybe we can look at Australopithecine in the same way. Definitely, I would not say they were not ancestral to man. But again, that’s the general consensus of evolutionists.\"
-Duane Gish

How's THAT for faulty?!

It's not that it was \"funny\", Richard, so much as \"mind-boggling daring in its invitation to ridicule and brutal rebuttal.\"

RichardT -- The shorter list might be \"what have they said that was not faulty?\"

As to your post not being funny, so what? This sight is \"Fundies Say The *Darnedest* Things\" not just funny things. Anyone who implies that \"Dr.\" Bovine, Ham or Gish spout anything but crap is saying a \"darnedest\" thing.

<<< I didn't find this quote of mine too funny , I don't know why you guys submitted it.. >>>

Because the idea that Hovind, Gish, and Ham have said much of *anything* that isn't horribly faulty (especially Hovind) is hilarious to anyone who's ever taken a biology class. Or a geology class. Or a chemistry class, for that matter.
