But in all seriousness ...
"I live in about as rednecked and racist community as one could be and we all were awakened a few months ago to the existence of the GSA (gay/straight alliance) club in our high school."
Translation: "we" (meaning knarf and the mouse in his pocket) managed to get his bubble burst and observe the real world around him.
"Many community members are gelled around this issue and it has opened our minds and minds' eyes to what we think is a small clique of suspected queer teachers."
Translation: Someone pulled an ass-ertion out of their ass and it sounds like something I'd like to believe, it "gels" with what I already believe, and everyone in my bubble is spreading it around without any evidence whatsoever to support it.
"The club came into being three or four years ago (no one is sure) and I'm trying to learn information about its genesis (a period belongs here)"
Translation: I haven't the faintest clue (or will pretend otherwise) that my questions can easily be answered by contacting the school directly, or failing that, contacting the local club directly through email or social media contacts that can be found by a simple internet search.
"The lack of co-operation and information is surprising to us (another period belongs here)"
Translation: I, nor anyone else I've been circle-jerking over this with, has actually bothered to inquire about anything really. Let's call this an evil conspiracy and call it day. God bless us, one and all. Amen.
