Quote# 10481
['I would reply that when people ask to say, be healed from a deadly cancer, God could wait too long. The person could die. There are time schedules all the time in prayer, and God answering YES before the person dies is seen as a miracle. So I'm not buying into the "dont' give god a schedule" reply."']
Yes darling you have, only one thing is lacking. God's view is eternal, so if God heals in this lifetime or the next, he is still keeping his Word.

Next lifetime? wouldn't you be in hell or heaven? Either way you won't need healing anymore.

Maybe it is just me but... doesn't the concept of healing my illness after I have died seem to be a bit of a waste of time and effort?

Somehow I don't imagine a loving God being so nitpicky about technicalities.

If your spouse or child is in for major surgery and the doctor comes to you and says, \"The patient died, but the operation was a total success otherwise,\" which are you going to do -- thank him for a successful operation, or grieve the loss of your loved one? If the latter, why would you hold God to any different standard?
\"Healing\" after death indeed! And if God doesn't get around to doing THAT right away (remember how he hates to be held to other people's schedules), does the person have to still be sick/injured while in heaven for a while, maybe still on a ventilator or something? Are there hospitals in heaven for those whom God has not yet healed? That kind of takes the edge off that whole paradise aspect if you're sick, doesn't it?
Seriously, this is one of the most ridiculously absurd reaches for spurious justification in support of God \"no matter what\" that I have ever seen -- and on this board, that's saying a lot!

What!? Cancer in the next lifetime too? That sucks. And all these people dying from cancer are so excited to escape the pain...

maybe I'm being petty, but it's that patronising \"darling\" that gets me.

If it took God six days to create the Earth, why does it take so long to get rid of a little cancer?

I never thought that dying from a disease was a form of healing. Now we know.
