If you came from your mother, how could you have also come from your father? Think about it.

I thought about it.
You're still dirt.

A point for the rational Christians who believe Genesis is metaphorical:
You can "come from the dirt" in that you come from the elements the planet was formed out of.

...Well, I know which one sounds more plausible.

...we didn't come from dirt, or from monkeys for that matter. thank you for missing the entire point of evolution theory. it's not even all that friggin complicated!

We did not form from dirt.
We slowly turn to dirt after death, but we were not formed from dirt.

you are perfectly happy to believe we came from dirt,
but coming from monkeys is just way to far out for you?
let me put it another way:
The jump from dirt to human is more plausible then a jump from monkey to human?
or another way:
we have more in common with dirt then we have with monkeys?
or:
Human DNA match with monkey over 98%
Human DNA match with dirt, about 0%
mmm.. actually, having said all that - you are right!!! (all you need is one small amendment)
dirt ---> evolution ---> humans

If we came from dirt then why is there still dirt? When is God going to turn the rest of the dirt into humans?

Poe.
Still... you say we came from dirt, but the idea that we came from monkeys is the one that devalues humans?

It's good that we think about it, because you obviously are incapable of doing so

There you have it folks. Being made of dirt is more believable then evolution and the years of research that has been put into proving evolution.

Guess the first premise is wrong, then. We do have a common ancestor with the monkeys. That is all.

Deep thinking amongst fundies hasn't changed much since they figured out how to tie a rock onto the end of a stick.
