Declining for the moment to present a proper rebuttal of the several inaccurate premises contained in that short post, let me just ask that you reread that first word you just wrote there, Pats. We'll wait while you let its meaning soak in.

I've thought about it, Pats, and I've decided that humans being made from dirt is absurd.

And, for the umpteenth time, those of us who believe in the ToE do not believe humans are descended from monkeys *or* dirt.

Absolutely Pats. We should all sit down and have a jolly good think about that. Care to join us or are you happy remaining ignorant?

yup, it just makes my day when arrogant, ignorant people use the phrase \"think about it\".

Papabear:

While we didn't evolve from modern monkeys or apes it would be a lie to not call or common ancestors apes. If they were still alive in this day and age they would quite certainly be categorized as apes.

And on the ape/dirt thing. i'd rather hae an ape for an ancestor then a pile of mud.

Self-Contradiction Award?
Death by Irony Overdose Award?
Read Your Own Post Award?
Some combination thereof?

I'm stumped, but this should be enshrined forever for the absolute inanity.

Doesn't Hovind use an appeal to pride along the lines of \"do you want to be descended from an ape?\" Realizing the he believes that humans came from dirt just makes it all the more ironic.

That being said, we all know (and if Pats reads this, he will), that we did not come from dirt, and we are not the result of the Theory of Straw Man Evolution. If Pats would like to know about evolution, (the REAL ToE), I can recommend my college. (Even though I'm not into biology.)

Stupid Creationist Zombie Argument.

This has got to be the worst, most ridiculous, most often rebutted argument that just won't die!

\"Think about it.\"

Every time I hear or see that, it reminds me of that neoNazi store owner in \"Falling Down\".

So which one is more of a reach? Give you a hint. We have a LOT more in common with monkeys than we do with dirt.
