[A positive review on the metacritic page for the film 'God's not Dead']
It gets 10/10 solely due to the massive butt hurt it has caused atheists. Proving the premise of the movie true (that atheists are bitter, spiteful and angry people who attempt to use science to refute God), the atheists have taken to writing emotional charged reviews attacking the movie whilst generalizing Christians and using all the insults in the book against religion because the movie hit a nerve with them. 10/10

Um, appeal to emotion does not prove a point false. That itself is a fallacy. It does, however, violate the integrity of the argument.
Then again, I bet you wouldn't know that anyway.
Because all you need to be a good movie is for atheists to hate it for straw man arguments, bad acting, and lame dialogue, apparently.
I've not seen it, but from the reviews I've read it appears to be yet another terrible Christian movie with terrible acting and hitting the audience over the head with the religious message. One which Christians will endlessly praise while saying "We need more movies like this!" and decrying any legitimate criticism of it.

So no word about the acting, the writing, the production values, the camera work, the direction, the sound, the effects, the dialogue, the costumes, the make-up, the editing, the music, the lighting or any of the other myriads of components that make a movie?
You suck at being a movie critic.
My friends new-born child doesn't believe in god, yet she's not bitter, spiteful, or angry.
I doubt Jebus would be proud of you for trolling Atheists.
Atheists have nothing more in common with one another other than they don't believe the bullshit you're selling. We don't have to believe in Evolution; we aren't required to believe in the Big Bang; and we don't have a secret hand-shake.
We just don't fucking believe your stupid shit. Maybe you should try harder?

It gets 10/10 solely due to the massive butt hurt it has caused Christians. Proving the premise of the movie true (that theists are deluded, hypocritical and manipulative people who attempt to God as their mouthpiece), the theists have taken to writing emotional charged reviews attacking the movie whilst generalizing atheists and using all the insults in the book against rationality because the movie hit a nerve with them. 10/10
I've heard that it is badly made but that might just be an inbuilt bias because it is a Christian film. The American Christian movement is one of the biggest business's in America. They can easily afford top notch actors, screenwriters and all the rest that make a good film. It probably is a good film if you believe the message that it sends. Contrariwise Cosmos apparently is getting a slagging off from Christians in America. Not in Britain though. Our Christians are much more reasonable, and can reconcile cosmology and evolution with a belief in God.
You complain about atheists generalising Christians while generalising atheists. You don't see the hypocrisy. You are hypoCRITICAL. Your hypocrisy is wort x2. So that not only invalidates your argument, it means the movie sucks and is worth 0/10. Oh and Noah and Cosmos has many Christians like Ken Ham butthurt because Cosmos looks at and uses facts while Noah is showing the Bible story. Enjoy your paradox hypocrite
the atheists have taken to writing emotional charged reviews
Would that emotional charge come out in words like "butt hurt," "bitter," "spiteful," "angry," "hit a nerve"? Physician, heal thyself.
huh? the internet gives a skewed perspective on things. you're there reading metacritic reviews for the movie "Got's not Dead", and it gives you the impression that a lot of people have seen the movie and have had a reaction to it. but of course most people, atheist or otherwise, don't even know of the movie and, if they did watch it, probably wouldn't have much of a reaction to it. only the atheists who watched it, hated it, and were upset over it would go to metacritic and write a review for it. so how does that prove that atheists are bitter, spiteful, and angry? and what does it say about you that you watched the move (supposing you actually did), and went looking for bad reviews of it to get upset over?
You know, joking about homosexual acts legitimizes them.
Atheists are also using science to refute the existence of unicorns. Those dirty little bastard Leprechauns are next. I hate those things. They are always after me lucky charms.
"use science to refute God"
This is entirely because you ask us to explain existance without God. Science has answers, ideas for many aspects of Creation but even more for what's been going on for millions of years.
But we're not allowed to reference these? You always ask "how else could it be?" then dismiss ANY other option and insist the 2000 year old compiled book is valid and WE'RE NEVER ALLOWED A DIFFERENT SCENARIO.
Fucking assertion, without ANY evidence from ancient fables win?
I bleedin' well, fuckin' well don't think so.
Does your disbelief in the Flying Spaghetti Monster make you butt hurt? Are you wasting your life trying to refute the FSM? No? Then why do you think we waste our lives refuting your imaginary friend? What we're refuting is fundies trying to sneak your imaginary friend into places where he doesn't belong, like politics, schools, health-care.
I haven't seen the movie (I doubt that it's even available over here), but judging by what is said about it on this site, I guess my emotionally charged review would be "Bored now".
You idiots continue to delude yourselves that the purpose of science is to disprove God. It may be a side effect at best, but that's it. Really, God just is not that important.
And your crappy movie would most likely cause me about as much butt hurt as an antiquated episode of the A-Team. Which is to say, none whatsoever.
Note that a large portion of the negative reviews for that movie are from, ahem, other Christians .
One even says that it "makes us look bad."
But I'm guessing Atheistbutthurt would just say they're not "True Christianstm ," anyway.
(that atheists are bitter, spiteful and angry people who attempt to use science to refute God),
No.Science is used to explain the universe. The fact that it tends to disprove or at the very least make the idea of any Gods tenuous, is merely a by product.
Didn't see it, have no intention of seeing it, hear all that shit here and on Right-Wing Watch and your Fundie politicians.
Stuff like:"Atheists bitter and angry all the time, constantly attacking Christian values"
Bullshit talking points.
I'm an atheist and I never heard of this film. No butt hurt, no one in my circle of friends have even mentioned it, nothing in any of the magazines I read or the websites I frequent. In other words, who gives a shit.
Just because some idiots want to throw good money after bad making a film that undoubtedly repeats the same crap we've all heard over and over again, we're all supposed to crap our pants? Give it a rest, shit for brains.
"I saw a poster for this cinemtatic disaster in the lobby when we went to see Captain America 2; I pointed & laughed out loud. It amuses me to no end that the theater was empty, nor was there anyone waiting outside to go in."
I'm jealous. I shit you not it was sold out at my theater (Texas).
Captain America was pretty great though.
I heard the same type of comment after Expelled came out. We Atheists would be "On the run now that they've been exposed, less likely to try their tricky stunts now that Christian scientists are forearmed against them, science will now reflect the Christian worldview they been suppressing"
Or Left Behind :"this will make everyone think about end-times more, this powerful movie will awaken Gods spirit in America"
They really expect way to much from the odd Christian themed movie, intrest and attendance for example.
Confused?
