even monkeys arent foolish enough to accept evolution instead of a god. if they were designed like us even they would believe in a god. those animals are given so much credit that if one suddenly spoke and said "i believe in Jesus" the evolutionary theory would go right down the tubes

If a chimp suddenly spoke and said "i believe in Jesus", people would be checking if the chimp had a voice recorder stuck up his ass, no doubt put there by a lying christian.
Sounds more plausible to me than anything to do with evolution.
If an animal said that, and there was no trick, I think the consequences would be even more dire for AngryNotice's religion. Did that animal manage to sneak a bite from the fruit of the tree knowledge of good and evil?
Look the problem with monkeys is they don't have the vocal cords for human speech - however they can be taught sign language!
So we know they are capable of intelligent thought. We can also tell from their sign and body language that they are deeply religious....
If you don't believe me, you just have to take a trip down to the nearest zoo and watch the fundy monkeys jumping up and down and screeching at the top of their lungs as they fling their own filth at each other!
Monkeys (like most Fundies) aren't intellectually capable of understanding evolution. Perhaps the monkeys will evolve to that capability someday.
It seems, according to the 2nd sentence, that AN thinks monkeys were not part of ID. So, did every animal *except* humans evolve?
And , of course, I agree with J PC, if a monkey said "i believe in Jesus" it would be the work of some crooked Xian. And if this monkey wrote it on a forum, he would know how to use the shift key.
Modifying a previous fundy quote that appeared on this site...
Can you prove that monkeys and chimps are 100% innocent? [...] Is not a baby snake sometimes as poisonous as an adult one, though outwardly to some it may appear so small and unassuming? Can you prove that similar genetic makeup is the best criteria for determining the nature of the individual? Have you ever tested the heart of monkeys, or chimps? At what point does an innocent monkey become a sinner? Who says that higher brain function is a criteria for responsibility? I suppose you would never correct or discipline a chimp since there is no possibility they could ever do any wrong? (If they could wrong you, they what could stop them from offending God, whose just command it is that they should honor you?)"
funny thing about if,
if your aunt had a pair of balls, she'd be your uncle, but that's not happening either.
What an idiot.
Everyone knows that monkeys believe in Vishnu (as seen when Hanuman aided Ramma in the Ramayana, an epic tale of a struggle between Hindu gods and demons) or Buddha (as seen in the Journey to the West tales, where the immortal monkey Sun-Wu-Kong and Sanzhang the monk kick around Asia lookign for lost Buddhist scriptures).
Christians are always trying to relate The Bible to their everyday lives by looking for similarities between their own lives and scripture. There are simply no strong simian characters in Christianity. With exemplary role models such as Sun-Wu-Kong and Hanuman monkeys, apes and even lemurs can identify and learn from the religions of the Indus Valley regions.
I mean, come on AngryNotice, like "Duh"!
I'm actually trying to figure out just how exactly this disproves evolution... by theat one monkey suddenly speaking and believing in Jesus, that would mean that he has (in a too-large-a-scale, obviously) evolved enough to both speak and believe that that's a sky daddy. It doesn't mean he'd be right.
(Unless we prove monkeys never lie. Or something... should we ask monkeys if Jesus exists?)

Yes, apes do believe in evolution. Here's one describing their beliefs.
"HONORIUS:
Learned Judges: My case is simple. It is based on our first Article of Faith: that the Almighty created the ape in his own image; that He gave him a soul and a mind; that He set him apart from the beasts of the jungle, and made him the lord of the planet.
These sacred truths are self-evident. The proper study of apes is apes. But certain young cynics have chosen to study man - yes, perverted scientists who advance on insidious theory called 'evolution.'"
if one suddenly spoke and said "i believe in Jesus" the evolutionary theory would go right down the tubes
Yes, it would. But not for the reasons you think.
Confused?
