Why would God intervene, if everyone on the plane was saved by Jesus, or at the age of accountability, then their place in the afterlife is secure, or if atheist then uh oh. And of course any children would not be accountable, so their salvation and eternal life is secure.

You're barking up the wrong tree, Ace. The difference between Christianity and other "world religions" is significant and striking. Ever asked a Moslem what Mohammad has done for him today? (Answer: nothing, Mohammad is dead). Ever asked a Buddhist what Buddha has ever done for him? (Answer: nothing, Buddha is dead, too). Try asking a Christian what Jesus has done for them. Our God is alive. Jesus is alive. Jesus works in our daily lives, and we are a testament to Him. Other "religions" worship idols and dead people.

Here's just some of the things that Jesus has done for me:
- I have prayed for others and see real answers to those prayers, not just
a bunch of coincidental stuff.

- I have seen my children saved and brought to Christ. Not just one, but
all three.

Sure we grow older, but if you are a Christian and let your young go trick or treat are you not letting them do what is forbidden by God's word, i.e. take part in earth's non-sense believes? I totally agree with you, Duane, and I gave you 500 blessings [ChristianForums quality poster awards] for your wonderful posts. Halloween is a bunch of Satanic garbage. That's why we don't participate in it. I went trick-or treating as a kid but I didn't know any better and in case anyone is wondering, no we didn't beat people up for not giving us candy or do bad things to their houses but that's beside the point. Halloween is Satanic. It's when people like to dress up like witches and ghosts and otherwise gross and scary things and play mean jokes on people whether they give them candy or not. I remember one year when I was a kid, someone smashed our pumpkins and we didn't even do anything to anybody. We were passing out candy just like everybody else and we still got our pumpkins smashed. Once my brother told me that when he was a teenager he ran up to a trick-or-treater and snatched the bag of candy right out of her hands and made her cry. The whole night is just mean spirited. I realize that not eveybody acts that way but just because some people are nice and dress up like Barney and kitties and other cute things on a mean-spirited Satanic holiday doesn't make it right.
